The Coach House Flat - a flat that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

The Coach House Flat is a cosy and comfortable first floor flat and forms part of an historic building in the heart of Walberton village, West Sussex. Tucked down a quite side road, the building was originally the village stores and evidence of this can still be seen with the old shop signpost still in position at the front of building. The flat makes an ideal hideaway for families, couples or friends who are looking for the character of a West Sussex village location, but also the convenience of being close to many places of interest and good transport links. A 10% discount on the rental price is available on bookings for 2 people.

Accessed through a courtyard at the rear of the building, stairs lead up to this first floor flat. The living room has plenty of space to be able to relax and offers a TV with DVD player, as well a radio and CD player. There is a dining area with a table that can comfortably seat 4 guests, or up to 6 if you have friends or family visit for a day during your stay. The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and all the pots, pans and utensils you should need to be able to self-cater very comfortably. The flat is decorated with pictures that feature local scenes and attractions, many of which have been painted by the owner the Coach House Flat. It also features maps and photos that are part of the Walberton History group collection.

There are 2 bedrooms, the first of which has a double bed and overlooks the attractive street scene at the front of the building. The second bedroom has twin single beds. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, as well as a heated towel rail and hair dryer.

Outside, there is a small area of the courtyard that guests can sit out in and guests can also make us of a store room for boots or bikes, etc. Parking for the flat is on the road, but there should not be any difficulty in being able to park close by. If required, secure parking and garaging (about half a mile away) can be arranged with the owners.

The village of Walberton has a variety of very attractive period properties, a small parade of shops (very close to the flat) which includes a well stocked village stores, and a picturesque village pond. A 20 minute walk across fields takes visitors to The Black Horse pub and restaurant or this is less than a mile by car.

The Avisford Park Golf Club is also within a mile.

The nearby historic town of Arundel has some fascinating shops along with its famous castle, wetlands wildlife park and the river Arun, which flows through the centre of the town. There is an annual festival which attracts visitors from all over the world.

The many attractions of Goodwood, including the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival motor racing event, as well as horse racing, is only about a 15 minutes drive away. There is also horse racing Fontwell, which is even closer. The cathedral city of Chichester, with its famous Festival Theatre, lies about 7 miles to the west of Walberton and offers a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The cities of Brighton, Portsmouth and London are all easily accessible by road or rail, with the nearest train station at Barnham being only about 2 miles away with a taxi rank available. Barnham has a choice of good takeaway restaurants for an easy self-catering meal.

The chemist and cycle repair shop may also prove useful!

The South Downs National Park is right on the doorstep, as is the wonderful Sussex coast. Climping beach, with its popular low tide sandy beach, and the fishing harbour town of Littlehampton are both within about a 10 minute drive.

From the Downs, to the towns, to the sea... The Coach House Flat enables visitors to enjoy so much whilst experiencing life in a traditional English country village.
