It is only a short walk from Windermere towns bustling high street with its many cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries.

Rose cottage

We stayed in Rose Cottage at the weekend there were 6 adults and 2 kids in the party and the cottage and garden had ample space for all of us. The cottage was beautiful and finished to a very high standard. It was also very close to all the local amenities which was great! We will DEFINATELY be back and would highly recommend to friends and family!

Fantastic Stay in a Beautiful House

We stayed at Rose Cottage over New Year and would like to say thank you for an amazing time. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and is beautifully decorated. There were 7 of us in the group, 4 adults and 3 children, the house provided ample space for all of us and the facilities were great. During our stay there was a slight issue with an electrical switch that kept tripping, even though it was New Years day the owner sent someone round within 15 minutes and the issue was sorted really quickly which, given the day was excellent. The cottage is really close to the local amenities and there is ample off road parking. We couldn't recommend highly enough and will definitely be returning in the future.

1st to stay in this beautiful house

We had the privilege to be the 1st guests to stay in this beautiful property tucked away down a private lane. The owners have obviously put a lot of time, effort and thought into making this a very welcoming and pleasurable place to stay - there were some fantastically novel interior design ideas (some of which I have memorised for our house!) and a beautifully designed and equipped kitchen. A great time was had by all with plenty to do in the house and within easy reach of Windermere.

We'll definitely be recommending it to our friends and family and plan on returning ourselves at some point.

Rose Cottage is situated a 5 min walk to Windermere village where there is a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. Windermere is the perfect base to explore the rest of the National park. The lake is a short 15 min walk away where you can catch a ferry to Ambleside and enjoy the breathtaking views from the water.

Notes Short breaks are available during low and high season, prices start from £550 for three nights in low season, £750 for 3 nights in high season.
20% deposit is required to secure a booking, this is non refundable, this can be paid by cheque or payment transfer. Balance plus £200 refundable security deposit is due six weeks prior to arrival. Security deposit covers small damage / breakages and extra cleaning costs incurred. Any larger damage etc will be billed in addition to this.
