The house is situated in a quiet, leafy area yet just beside all amenities, very close to transport-bus, rail, Air coach and ferry- and near the sea. Free parking for 1 car.
It has its own side-access to a small garden at the rear of the house, very useful for bringing in bicycles or sea-sports equipment.
The dining/sitting room and separate kitchen are on the ground floor, and the two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor.
The bathroom has a full-sized bath with shower over.
One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other a single.
Both have wardrobe and cupboard space.
The attic above is useful for storing suitcases out of the way.
Outside there is a patio and small gravelled garden, with an outhouse, a shed and garden furniture.

Monkstown certainly is a special village, having so many nice restaurants and other amenities, the sea and lots of transport stops.
We hope that we might stay again at some future time, if we are in Dublin.
The house is beautifully presented with a few personal touches, very comfy beds, great power shower, absolutely perfect place to stay situated on a small quiet private estate yet within walking distance to the best restaurants and coffee shops, a couple a good pubs too. The Dart train and buses are a few minutes away much better than driving into the city. Pat the owner of this lovely house is great and very helpful. 5 Star holiday home for a great price, Perfect!
Location of this property is excellent, situated in quiet cul-de-sac, convenient to local shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and Dart railway. House is extremely comfortable with all facilities that makes it a real home from home, great attention to detail including good quality bed linen and tableware, the list could go on! Pat, owner was more than helpful and very accommodating. We had a wonderful week and hope to return again in the future.

We stayed at the Monkstown townhouse for five weeks August and September. The house was great. Spotlessly clean and equipped with every thing you could possibly need for your stay. Nice little garden to have coffee in. Pat was wonderfully helpful when we needed something and gave us privacy when we did not. Nice friendly neighbors..
The location is great, close to the Dart, buses, the sea front. If you feel like walking along the seafront Blackrock and Dun Laoghaire are close by. Farmers market in Dun Laoghaire on Sundays worth a visit. We frequented several restaurants nearby. FXB The Bar , Fresh Salt at Avoca. And Seapoint restaurant.
This was so much better than staying in a hotel for five weeks. An added bonus (washer/dryer).
A very good experience. We will be back another time. We will definitely recommend it to friends.

we had a great and SUNNY week, Dublin is very worth
visiting and the WICKLOW moutains amazing ! The little
garden at the back of the house was very pleasant to rest
after our visits and walks and we appreciated the seaside

We were only guest residents in this lovely townhouse for four nights and would happily have stayed for four weeks. Literally everything was just as described, or better. It is a superb, quiet location, with comfortable beds and every possible creature comfort is provided. Everything was clean and well maintained, plenty of hot water for showering and the chance to use the laundering machines would have made a longer stay simple.
Although we did not partake of the 'fine dining' spots in the village (which do indeed require a reservation, as noted by another reviewer), we had a lovely meal during the World Cup playoffs in Goggins Pub, just up at the corner. We loved the breakfast options at Café du Journal and thoroughly enjoyed shopping for delicious provisions in the Avoca store. SPAR had anything else we needed.
The DART trip into Dublin was quick and easy and the maps which Pat provided made all of our explorations quite simple. The seaside walk was so close and the views were delightful. We also visited a private garden in nearby Blackrock, which we found on the Dublin Garden Group website. Highly recommended.
Pat was so kind and generous, answering countless small questions before our arrival, arranging to let us 'move in' early in the day, since our flight arrived at 5AM and leaving a box of tea, fresh milk and cereal for our immediate needs. Although we only met briefly, it was a comfort to know that she was nearby, had we needed assistance.
If we are fortunate enough to return to the Dublin area, we will definitely choose to return to #8. I recommend it highly to any couple or small family. Five stars all the way!
Set in a quiet enclave, the house is just a three minute walk to the fashionable coastal village of Monkstown, which offers high quality restaurants, specialist food stores, boutiques, garden/design centre, churches, cafes and landmark pubs along with usual village amenities of post office, ATM, pharmacy, hair salon, newsagents, dry-cleaners, grocery and other stores.
A swimming pool and fitness centre is located about 250 meters from the village.
Monkstown is also home to the headquarters of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, an Institute that promotes traditional Irish music and culture and events regularly take place here.
A 5 minute walk from the house brings you to the seafront, with access to Seapoint beach near the Martello tower, and also to the Dublin suburban rapid Rail service (DART) at Monkstown station.
The bus stop for the hourly Aircoach to and from Dublin Airport is just a three minute walk from the house.
This stop is also on the main bus route to Dublin city centre. Buses from Monkstown stop directly outside the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) in Ballsbridge, where the renowned Dublin International Horse Show takes place each August and other events such as major concerts, Arts and Antique Fairs, Young Scientist and other exhibitions are held throughout the year. These buses also stop beside the National Gallery of Ireland, which is very close to Trinity College and Dublin city centre.
Monkstown is just one kilometre from Dunlaoghaire with it's lovely harbour, promenade, yacht clubs and two piers along with live theatre, multiplex cinema, library, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Stena Line Ferries operate a rapid ferry service between Dunlaoghaire and Holyhead.
Golfing enthusiasts can arrange to play at Killiney Golf Club, near Dunlaoghaire or alternatively at Elm Park Golf Club, closer to Dublin. Tennis is also available by arrangement.
Those interested in literature can, just one km beyond Dunlaoghaire, enjoy a visit to James Joyce Tower and museum in Sandycove, where part of Joyces masterpiece, Ulysses, was written.
For lovers of horse-racing, Leopardstown Racecourse is 8 km from Monkstown.
The M50 Motorway, giving access to the national motorway network, is also at a distance of 8km.
