Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Putney & Wandsworth - Warriner Gardens III

Take a moment

Keep calm

Verdant Battersea Park is bordered by the Thames, with the lights of Chelsea glimmering just across the water. The quiet streets are dotted with cafés and local pubs, and it’s here you’ll find Warriner Gardens III. Brushed with delicate creams and greys, the airy living area is framed with folding wooden shutters and white-washed floorboards, and there are two original fireplaces next to the sofas and dining table. But there are contemporary touches of the too: from the purple Perspex chairs and angled television to the contemplative artworks in inky blue.

Caring nature

Your hosts have a second home in the countryside, and they retreat there during the weekends with their two dogs. When in London she works as a hospital volunteer, and together they have created a serene city home.

Peaceful place

Step from the hallway into the living area where generous sofas and silver lanterns are cosy by the fireplace. There are accents of mauve and purple, from the soft cushions to the kitchen’s colourful chairs, and between you’ll find a neat set of bookshelves. Just off this room is the bedroom, all vanilla shades and pretty landscape paintings. And from here you can step out into the quiet, leafy garden.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Putney & Wandsworth

Just across the busy five-arched bridge, rests the young heart of South London. Honey-coloured houses lie along leafy streets, harbouring one of London’s youngest and brightest broods.

But it’s not all prams and dollies here. The iconic and imposing power station is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s industrial roots, whilst the mysterious Peace Pagoda draws saffron-robed monks from far flung corners of the world.

Less cashmere swaddled than their Chelsea compatriots, these days Battersea is abuzz with young professionals. Whether milling around Northcote Road Market, filling cloth totes with fresh fruit and local honey, or swinging by the Arts Centre for the latest Modern Dance performance, life here ticks along at an upbeat pace.

By day, Battersea Park offers green relief as well as a zoo, a skate rink and a few herons too. Evenings see the very yummiest of mummy’s swap push chairs for clutches as they mingle in well-loved gastro pubs, whilst fresh-faced graduates sip lavender tinted cocktails in Bar Social and art students from the Royal College of Arts (now with a second campus in Battersea) drink bottles of beer in the Doodle bar.

What makes this apartment unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
