Three beautiful barn conversions beachcombers,Lobster Pot & Fisherman's Cottage.

Bank End Farm has 3 comfortably furnished and well equipped converted stone barn.

Beachcombers is the largest of the 3 barn conversions, sleeping unto 8 people, Ideal for families and consisting of one double bedroom upstairs, 2 twin bedrooms and a bunk bedroom all downstairs. A bathroom with bath and overhead shower a separate shower room and also a separate toilet upstairs. The wonderful beamed sitting room which is upstairs has panoramic sea views. There is a flagstoned courtyard area outside with eating area and barbecue. From Beachcombers it is only a 5 minute walk if that through the fields in front to get onto the coastal footpath and to the coves below. Orchard Bay being the nearest which is only a 5-6 minutes walk from the front door of Beachcombers.

Lobster Pot cottage is a comfortable homely & well equipped barn conversion sleeping 4-5 in 2 bedrooms. It is a short walk from this bar conversion to the coastal footpath and a number of small coves ideal for swimming or exploring rock pools. it has use of a shared games room and there is a selection of indoor and outdoor games for all the family to use and enjoy during their holiday. Lobster Pot has one large double bedroom upstairs beside which is a shower room, there is a twin bedroom downstairs as well as a second bathroom with bath & overhead shower a comfortable sitting room ,dining room area as well as patio area for eating outside and taking in the wonderful sea views.

Fisherman's Cottage is the smallest of our barn conversions & is perfect for couples sleeping 2 people in one double bedroom .It has wonderful sea views & is just across the courtyard from our there 2 barn conversions.

Bank End Farm also has 2 self catering bungalows and 2 Yurts which can also be rented out.

Beachcombers sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms; I double, 2 twin and one bunk bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms one with a bath and over head shower and one with a shower. There is also a separate toilet upstairs beside the sitting room. It is perfect for families having a large sitting room and plenty of family games to keep all ages entertained. There is a games room near by with a table tennis table, games box full of outdoor games for guests to borrow as well as a badminton net & rackets for guests use.

About Clare Watson

Bank End Farm is a family business run by Robert Noyes , Penny Noyes & Clare Watson, grandchildren of the poet Alfred Noyes who bought & retired to the Isle of Wight & who lived at Lisle Combe which is at the centre of the farm in the 1920's. The farm began life as a dairy farm and then diversified into a Rare Breeds Farm open to the public from 1990 to 2001. As a result of foot & Mouth we decided to close to the public as a tourist attraction and because of the unique setting of the farm and stunning sea views from the farm we began converting the farm buildings into self catering accommodation. Fistly we converted the farms shop and café into 2 self catering bungalows, each sleeping 6 and then moved on to convert the older stone farm buildings into 3 self catering barn conversions Beachcombers, Lobster Pot & Fishermans Cottage sleeping 2- 8 people. Robert & Penny still live on the farm and are on hand to welcome visitors & be at hand should visitors need them during their stay.

All our cottages and barn conversions are within 5-10 minutes walking distance for families to the coastal footpath and a number of small safe secluded beaches. Guests can walk from the barns straight out onto the adjacent public footpath that leads to the Ventnor Botancial Gardens which is a wonderful place for families to spend the day. A perfect location for picnics and play and playing on the beaches and in the rock pools.

Hidden on the South Coast of the Island in an idyllic Location renowned for its mild climate. Lovingly converted stone barns sleeping 2 - 8 people all with wonderful sea views. Secluded coves suitable for swimming within a 5-10 minute walk through the farm. The south coast is a great place for fossil hunting too.

A short stroll away from the Ventnor Botanical Gardens, which has something for everyone; a meadow & play area for picnics and playing , some magnificent displays through the Gardens as well as a delicious café for teas and lunches. Walking distance to hidden away coves such as Steephill Cove which is is a lovely safe sandy Cove with 2 small cafes and a delicious restaurant on too. The Isle of Wight offers something for everyone all within a short distance fro one another - attractions such as Osbourne House where Queen Victoria lived will captivate visitors young and old for a whole day. To theme parks such as Blackgang Chine which is only a 15 minute drive away and again offers another full day of fun for families. From walkers to cyclists the Island has some great trails to follow and maps can be found in our cottages for visitors to use during their stay. Local bike hire is available from Ventnor and for the less energetic who want to explore, electric bikes can be hired from Ventnor too . Please see our website for further details.
