Lakeside House is a beautiful Grade II listed property, set in a private location within the grounds of “The Inn at Fossebridge”, in the heart of the Cotswold’s countryside, 6 miles north of Cirencester. Guests have access to all the Inn’s services, including its cosy bar, restaurant and private dining facilities.

A detached and recently decorated pretty Cotswold Stone Self Catering holiday let, Lakeside House comfortably sleeps 10 guests. A perfect Cotswold retreat for family, friends, walking groups and hen weekends. Member of Visit England National Quality Assessment Scheme (4* accreditation) & AA has awarded a 4 star rating.

The property is located in the pretty hamlet of Fossebridge in The Cotswolds, where the Fosse Way drops into the valley of the River Coln, 6 miles north of Cirencester.

The accommodation in the cottage is very spacious and laid; comfortably sleeping 10 guests in 2 King Rooms (one includes a wooden cot), 1 twin and a dormitory room with four single beds.

There is a large traditional sitting room with a log burning stove. It is tastefully furnished with comfortable arm chairs, occasional chairs and two large sofa’s. A Bang & Olufsen Television with Sky HD, Free Wi-Fi, and a DVD & Video Player are installed. Adjacent, on the ground floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed and a newly installed en-suite bathroom, with shower cubicle, large bath, twin vanity unit and a W.C. There is a door leading outside, so this room is ideal for anyone with special access needs or requiring a ground floor room. The kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, including a miele dishwasher,

washing machine and integrated dryer, microwave, large free-standing

fridge-freezer and a gas hob with electric fan oven.

The dining area is adjacent with a large farmhouse table and ten dining chairs. Also on the ground floor is the second bedroom with twin single beds and a wash basin. (suitable to also include a Z Bed). Upstairs is the third bedroom with a King bed, wooden cot (only a fitted cot sheet provided) and a wash basin. Across the landing is the fourth bedroom with four single beds. On the same floor is a family bathroom with a bath, shower over the bath, W.C. and a wash basin. The house has a private entrance, two driveways with parking for up to 5 cars and an enclosed front garden with a large wooden table, parasol and ten chairs.

I am the owner of The Inn @ Fossebridge a grade two listed historic coaching Inn alongside the Fosse Way A429 between Cirencester and Stow on the Wold. We are in our ninth year of ownership and have continued to improve the facilities available including Lakeside House

Lakeside House is very well equipped and comfortably spacious. Sleeping ten guests in three double rooms and one ' dormitory '

sleeping four. I have furnished property as if for myself to a very high standard.

Lakeside house is situated in the Coln Valley an area of outstanding natural beauty in the unique Cotswold Hills. The spa town of Cheltenham is approximately 14 miles to the North with Roman Cirencester 6 miles to the South. Perhaps the most important feature is proximity to The Inn @ Fossebridge (35yds) with its period bar & dining.

Looking for a holiday cottage in Gloucestershire which is dog friendly?

We welcome well behaved dogs at Lakeside House and our Inn is very dog friendly too.

Lakeside House is a beautiful, Grade II listed house, dating back to the 19th century and set in a private location within the four acre grounds of the family run ?Inn at Fossebridge?, an historic 17th century coaching inn. Fossebridge is in the heart of the Cotswolds, located between Cirencester to the South and Stow-on-the-Wold to the North. Lakeside House contains various character features, including wooden beams, exposed stonework and a wood burning stove. Complementing these period features, the house has been decorated, furnished and equipped in a warm and cosy style, making the house a perfect holiday choice for families or groups of friends.

Lakeside House sleeps up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms. There is a family bathroom, an en-suite bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom.

The property benefits from having access to all of the Inn?s services, including private dining facilities on the doorstep.

Lakeside House is situated in 4 acres of stunning gardens and located just yards from many delightful footpaths, so your dog will love it here!

To make your canine friend feel at home, we will welcome them with their own dog bed and a bowl for the duration of their stay. There is even a jar of complimentary dog biscuits in the house and at the bar!

Notes

  • A 50% deposit is required on booking and the balance is due 12 weeks prior to arrival, together with a £300 damage/cleaning deposit. This deposit is returned shortly after the letting period, subject to inspection and any deductions for damages or breakages incurred. Booking conditions apply. Payment by credit card incurs a 2.5% surcharge. Bank transfers and debit cards do not incur a charge.
  • The house does have a payphone, so you can make and receive phone calls directly. The property is strictly NO SMOKING. A maximum of two well behaved dogs permitted. It is not permitted to move furniture and beds within the property. In the event of this being disregarded a charge of £100 will be deducted from the damage deposit
