1½ miles from Brentor, an ‘away from it all’ detached bungalow with terrific huge sky open views (no one else in sight) across meadows to the Lyd Valley and Dartmoor. It is double glazed and insulated and surrounded by its own garden with a 6 acre field at the back (sheep in late autumn/early spring) with deer and unusual birds (red kites, black pheasants, yellowhammers) around. Large, raised covered patio with big picnic table/benches and great views (sunsets, starlit nights), barbecue, a little hedge-sheltered suntrap area with bench, lawn with children’s swings and, in an annexe, a games room (table football, darts, toys/games), and bicycles (at your risk).
Inside, very comfortable, cosy and attractive. Four steps up to front door. Living room with huge window with time-wasting views, open fire, TV/DVD/video; dining room; kitchen (dishwasher, combi-microwave, oil-fired Rayburn, larder fridge) with table/chairs and step down to lobby (for coats/boots) and utility room with back-up electric cooker, Belfast sink, washing machine, tumble drier, freezer, and shower-room (wet-room suite, shower seat). Three bedrooms – a double (5’ bed), a twin, and a single with pull-out truckle bed. Small bathroom (bath plus bath-shower, washbasin); separate loo. Spring water. Best for maximum of 5 adults or 4 adults, 2 children. A great value getaway.
