Well Court Apartment consists of a double bedroom, living room/kitchen and shower room. It has recently been completely refurbished. The double bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe dressing table & mirror. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, oven, washer/dryer and all kitchen utensils and dining equipment. There is a tv/dvd, sofa, dining table and four chairs. The bathroom has a large walk in shower.

I have lived in Edinburgh all my life. I am the property manager for the family business.

Lewis Crolla purchased this apartment in 2005

The property is in a historic building which was built by the then owner of the Scotsman who wanted to build decent places to live for working people. With places to read and pray it was ahead of the times.

The setting of the property is perfect next to the Water of Leith and very, very peaceful yet so central. The stone work is so thick once you are inside the peace and quiet is lovely you would not know you are in an apartment.

Perfect

Everything was perfect.
The house is modern, clean and has all that you expected to find, and more, because it located in a old neighborhood, totally reconstructed and prepared for today's life.
Very calm zone, with a kind of magic, but yet super well located, only 10 minutes to the center , walking by Victoria Street, one of the most beautiful streets of Edinburgh!
We love our stay, the people, the kindness, it was everything so great! We will return to Edinburgh and to this house! Thank you.

Just a note: maybe more information about how to get to the house the first time is needed, because once you know it's super easy, but first time requires more detailed info.

Stayed here not once, but twice!

I love this little gem of an apartment. It is in the historical Deans Village area along the Water of Leith walkway. It is clean and quiet (except for the occasional early morning seagulls!). I can't say enough good things about the management. I stayed here for 3 weeks in July, 2013 and returned for another week in August. There are a couple of grocery stores a 10 minute walk away and plenty of restaurants, pubs in the area. It is a 10 minute walk to the beginning of Princes Street and about a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile. I have walked everywhere while here. The apartment is on the second floor with no lifts, which is fine for me but want people to be aware. Also, word of caution...the courtyard is very slippery when wet. Try to make it to the bricks in the center and your will be fine. As a single, middle-aged female, I felt totally safe staying here. I highly recommend this place and really am sad about leaving.

Beautiful apartment

We had a lovely stay here over May bank holiday weekend. The apartment is newly refurbished and is really light and comfortable. It's been nicely finished, clean and is well equipped. Has a great powerful shower, cosy bedroom, and tv with selection of dvds, books, games. Felt like a home from home. The location is great, it's a bit off the major tourist stretch, I've always stayed on the Royal Mile before, but everything is still really close it's not far to the top end of Princes Street and you get to see a different side to Edinburgh with the really old buildings and riverside walks. Parking is just up the road, we were out in the car a lot and had no problems getting a space every time we came back.

Well Court Apartment is set in one of the oldest and most picturesque areas of Edinburgh the Dean Village. The building itself has recently been renovated by Edinburgh World Heritage and sits nestled on the edge of the Water of Leith. The apartment is peaceful & tranquil whilst only 10 mins walk to Princes Street and 5 mins walk to the Dean Gallery and The Gallery of Modern Art.

Directions to Well Court

From the West End take the A90 (Queensferry Street) and head out of town, turn left onto Bells Brae and then right onto Dean Path, as Dean Path veers to the right take a left onto Damside, the name is written on the road and a sign is on the railing. Well Court is on your left. Go under the archway and into the courtyard no 35 is in the far right hand corner.
