Overview

Overview

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in Richmond & Kew - Sheen Road

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, sophisticated apartment in a West London location

Overwhelming evidence

We’ve opened the files on a very special case. Out in the London village of Richmond, where cats stalk past red pillar-boxes and tendrils of ivy caress mossy brickwork, we’ve a smart home that’ll have your sirens wailing.

Brad and Angelina have recently been staying close by, and when you take a look at the peaceful streets, the artisan shops, and, of course, the sun rising over the Thames, it’s clear that this is an A list part of town. Architect designed, behind gates, and with private underground parking, Sheen Road is as safe as houses. And when the houses look like this, then you’re very lucky indeed…

Prime suspects

Sheen Road is the residence of young police detective, which perhaps accounts for the tremendous attention to detail all across this home. She and her fund manager husband are long term residents of Richmond, and when they’re not entertaining they’re next door in Richmond Park, making the very most of a location that’s so good, it’s almost criminal…

Fingerprints

For the funky taste of your urbane hosts is to be found dusted all across Sheen Road. Ride the lift to the second floor and step out into a large, spacious apartment, filled with light. If you like your comforts twenty first century style then this is the home for you. The kitchen’s high spec and spotless, the open plan sitting room, as glossy as they come. Take a glass of champagne out onto the balcony or relax on the vast sofa.

Borrow a book from the study and then investigate the bedrooms. You’ve two from which to chose, both en suite. The guest double is a pretty powder blue, and its en suite has a deep tub, just waiting to be filled with White Company bubbles. The super king sized master has access to the balcony, and the added pleasure of an Amazonian rainforest style walk in shower.

Case closed

The clues add up to one overwhelming conclusion. Richmond is a fantastic spot for a stay in London. You’re a little apart from the hurly burly of the centre, and so can immerse yourself in old world English charm, with riverside pubs, quaint tea rooms and second hand book shops.

This is where the affluent come when they’re ready to settle down and they’re a discerning bunch, so expect your local cafes and restaurants to be as good as (if not better than) their central London counterparts. Richmond Park, with its wild deer, organic ice creams and lovely expanses of grassland, is just around the corner. And if you want to get into town, hop onto the District Line. You’ll be in zone 1 in less than thirty minutes.
