Beautiful and stylish house in a typical Swiss setting

Stay in a 250 year old renovated barn. The house and the 5 bedrooms are all individually decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and handmade furniture typical of the area. The kitchen is open plan, modern, well equipped and functional. The downstairs bathroom has a beautiful wooden bath whilst the upstairs bathroom has a luxurious shower. A small outside seating area allows you to eat outside and there is even a sauna to relax after a long day of discoveries.

Great family accommodation

An excellent apartment, with great facilities. It was perfect for our ski holiday to the Jungfrau region. Our party consisted of 3 families and there was plenty of room and provision for all. Although situated in a quiet village on the outskirts of Interlaken, the apartment was within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.

Bönigen is a short journey from the ski slopes, however, the apartment was any easy drive away from the Jungfrau ski resorts and only a few minutes drive from Interlaken train station.

The apartment was spotless and well maintained, and exceeded our expectations. The manger called round soon after our arrival, to check we were ok and that we had everything we needed. She also provided us with useful information about the local area and facilities.

There was only parking for one car at the apartment, but there was ample free parking nearby.

I would definitely recommend the accommodation for family ski holiday.

The picturesque village of Bönigen is nestled between two mountain chains, at the lower shore of Lake Brienz with meadows and picturesque wooden houses, some of which date back to the 16th century.

Bönigen is a village where tradition is alive and well, and where rural life is in harmony with nature. The mighty mountains are reflected in the deep blue waters of Lake Brienz, and the wild brooks and rivers of the glaciers in the Jungfrau Region unite and come to rest.

Bönigen at Lake Brienz near Inter-lake delights visitors with its natural beauty and a myriad of leisure opportunities as well as the excellent tourist infrastructure of the Jungfrau Region and Lake Brienz. The Jungfrau Region has a network of marked hiking trails that extend over 500 kilometres, ranging from easy walks, to adventure trails, to challenging mountain tours and fixed rope routes. The extensive mountain train network of the Jungfrau Railways, with Europe’s highest railway station on the Jungfraujoch (3,454 meters above sea level), is one of the highlights of the Jungfrau Region.

Notes Rental rates include a one set of linens per guest, amenities and wifi. We add a 500CHF security deposit which is fully refunded when the house is left clean and without damages.

50% of the rental fee is required to secure the booking, the balance plus the breakage and damage deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival.
