Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday villa in Hyeres - Villa with pool in Provence
A Provencal Mas. Sleeps up to 10. Sea And Mountain Views. English owners. Calm.
Our beautiful home in a typical mas, by the sea in Provence. Between Toulon and St. Tropez. We are an Anglo-French couple.
This is an old Provencal winegrowers house dating from 1870, which has been modernised by us. It can sleep up to 10 persons in 5 bedrooms (one with extra bed) with 4 bathrooms, 3 en-suite. All rooms are air conditioned. The beautiful Provencal gardens, which are not overlooked, include a large private pool with shaded area and two terraces. The house has WiFi, TV, a barbecue and is fitted with smoke alarms. This is our own home which reflects our character and tastes, not a basic rental property. We ask you to treat it you would your own home.

The house is in a quiet country lane, which is a cul de sac, on the lower slopes of the Colle Noire in a rural area just outside the village of Le Pradet, near Hyeres, Carquerianne and Porquerolles. It has sea views, yet is set back from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront and La Garonne beach which is just 600 metres away. Our house is surrounded by a field and unlike many holiday homes, no noisy neighbours on top of you. You are 5 minutes’ drive from shops, market and supermarkets. Its main attribute is total peace and quiet in a rural area, where the neighbours are locals, not holiday home owners. The coast is natural and protected, unlike the concrete jungle of the Cote d’Azur.
Le Pradet is on the coast of Provence between Toulon and St. Tropez and 20 minutes from Toulon/Hyeres airport which has direct flights from Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Oslo, Bordeaux, Brest, Nantes and Strasbourg. Nice and Marseilles airports are under 2 hours away and the TGV stops at Toulon.

About Rosy and John
Rosy grew up in Toulon and met John in London and we have travelled widely in Britain and Europe in the travel business, including a spell in Copenhagen. We speak English and French and the odd word of Italian. It took us a long time to find this special place and we instantly fell in love with it and are sure that you will too. We have now retired from running it as a B&B.
Rosy and John purchased this villa in 2004
Why Rosy and John chose Hyeres
Rosy wanted the sea and John the countryside. Here we have both. We bought this house because of its unique calm, which is a rare commodity by the sea. In this tranquil spot, it is hard to believe that the city of Toulon is less than 30 minutes away and airports at Toulon, Nice and Marseille are very close. The TGV arrives at Toulon. Rosy's roots are here, but Britain and the world are within easy reach. We can accommodate 9 persons or 10 with an extra bed.
What makes this villa unique
Sea views without the noise. A beautiful old house with character and strong links with wine growing, It is not overlooked and is surrounded by a field, so unlike many holiday homes you do not have neighbours right on top of you. This a rare commodity by the coast. The house itself is over 200 sq. metres, set in 1900 sq. metres of grounds. We modernised the house, installed air conditioning and built a large modern pool and garage. You will enjoy the pool, the beautiful Provencal garden with its lawns, pond, old well and ancient olive tree.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We had a wonderful stay at Mas de la Tourette. House, garden and swimming-pool were kept very well, terrace and one some rooms offered a great view over the sea and coast.
