The large, 400 square metre pool area is what makes this Villa special. It is not only ideal for a short break, but also for events such as weddings. The 14 x 7m swimming pool and jacuzzi overlook the beautiful Pergla Valley, and the clear sea of Ghajn Barrani Bay. The pool and deck area are surrounded by Mediterranean gardens with olive trees.

The Villa is surrounded by 5 acres of greenery, where guests can roam around to enjoy the views and the sounds of nature.

On the inside, this Villa consists of six bedrooms all ensuite and on ground floor level. The bedrooms comprise of 2 master bedrooms and 4 twin bedrooms. A small gym is also present, and a spare bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room are in an open plan and face the pool area. The Villa is fully air-conditioned.

Pergola Farmhouses was founded in 1997 when Julian started renovating old farmhouses into holiday villas.

His wife, Doris, became the one responsible for bookings and the general running of the farmhouses, while Julian focused on renovating houses of character.

With over fifteen years of experience in farmhouse and villa rental acquired through relationships built with clients from all over the world, Julian and Doris are always here to help and to make your holiday as comfortable and memorable as ever.

The location of this property, as well as the farmhouse's aesthetic beauty of local stone cut hundreds of years ago, transports the visitor to a place of complete relaxation. It's seclusion is twinned with the possibility of returning to the hustle and bustle of town life in a scenic ten minute walk. Julian and Doris have called this island 'home' all their lives; buying this property was just a natural step in celebrating Gozo and its way of life with people from all around the world.

We have just returned from a week in paradise, our family of eight stayed in a pergola farmhouse, Doris the owner even did extra shopping for our arrival, lovely fresh traditional food, the house was exceptional with pool deck jaccuzzi and large pool overlooking the valley with the sea to the left, ample space even with eight of us. We booked direct with Doris who arranged all transfers from the airport and on the ferry, we hired jeeps that were brought to the house the following day for getting around the island which has many places of interest. We were left home made olive oil and fresh hand picked veg and basil from Doris.husband Julian, we couldnt fault our stay, the whole island is very friendly and food and wine is extremely cheap,altogether a great family holiday,

Ix-Xaghra (pronounced: shara) is built on a hill to the central north-east of the island of Gozo. It lies just under four kilometres from Rabat, the town of the island, and is aptly described as the village of the goddess and the Madonna. Ix - Xaghra was one of the earliest inhabited areas of Gozo.

Xaghra enjoys very rich historical sites, undoubtedly the most famous are the Ggantija Temples. They date back to 3600 - 3200 B.C., which makes them older than the Pyramids of Egypt and the oldest known human structure in the world.

Apart from this, Xaghra also has a number of grottoes, such as Calypso Cave which plays a role in Greek mythology.

Our farmhouse is close to all amenities and lovely restaurants, bars and cafeterias situated in the village square as well as close to Gozo's main sandy beach.
