This has been our family home for 6 years and as we're moving out of the city, it's now available for you to enjoy and explore the vibrant community of Portobello with it's wide expanse of beach, bustling promenade and excellent local amenities.

The house position at the heart of the area, sandwiched perfectly between the beach and the high street, has allowed us to make the most of our time here. Furthermore, being so close to the city centre has allowed us to enjoy Edinburgh and it's many attractions.

This property is so deceiving. Compact and unassuming on the outside yet incredibly spacious, light and airy on the inside. A real gem. Close to all amenities. Frequent public transport into the city centre. Lovely beach at the bottom of the road and a good selection of eating establishments all within easy walking distance. Couldn't be better. Friendly owner made booking easy and problem free. Would highly recommend.

Hello Duncan

I just wanted to say what an amazing property/Tardis, we all loved it and didn't want to leave this morning.
The location couldn't have been better, right opposite my brother & sister-in-laws flat and within easy walking
distance of the wedding, beach, town and bus access to Edinburgh, brilliant.

The only 2 things we missed were a mirror in the middle bathroom for shaving and perhaps a tray otherwise faultless,
the space and facilities are fantastic and so deceiving from the outside.

Thank you so much for the use of your property and your quick response to my queries, it all lent to what was a perfect
weekend and I won't hesitate to recommend you.

Dear Carmel & Duncan

We had a wonderful time, the house is stunning and I will certainly write a review. In fact we would like to book again if the property is available, the dates are ******* until ******** 2013 (7 nights)?

The house is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We didn’t really use the kitchen other than for breakfast so didn’t test out the cooker The only minor thing to report was the flush on the middle bathroom toilet, sometimes it kept on running, other than that – perfect!

Could not fault the accomodation very clean, tidy and modern. Was close to local ammenities and about 10 to 15 mins from city centre it was a perfect place for a fantastic weekend thankyou.

When we pulled up at the property we thought it looked a little small but my goodness were we wrong! Absolutely beautiful house, very spacious and very well equipped. The quality of everything was excellent, comfortable beds, lovely furniture and it was really nice for our children to have clean, working toys to play with - next time we'll know not to bring anything!! It felt like a well looked after home, we were really quite sorry to leave!!

Portobello is a lovely area, the beach is great for kids, huge expanse of sand and the promenade is very buggy friendly! There was a lovely pub at the end of the road and a nice cafe with high chairs and a local supermarket to get basics from as well as an award winning butcher, friendly fishmonger and a fine wine shop - pretty much everything you need, we didn't have long enough to make the most of everything that Portobello has to offer, let alone Edinburgh - we will definitely be back!!
