Welcome to ShortLetsMalta! We are delighted to offer you our spacious
2-bedroom apartment in Sliema, perfect for families on a budget. This
newly refurbished apartment is situated in a prime location in Sliema,
within walking distance of all amenities. Despite being centrally
located, the apartment is situated on a quiet residential street of
traditional Maltese townhouses, where no construction or development is
allowed.

The apartment is on the second floor of a block of apartments and
features an open plan living area with a LED TV and a balcony with a
BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious double bedroom with an
en-suite, a twin bedroom, and a full bathroom with a bath. The
apartment also comes with linen and towels, cable TV, and free WiFi
Internet, with both bedrooms and living room fully air-conditioned.

Sliema is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, with
plenty of shops, entertainment establishments, rocky beaches, and the
stunning 5 km long seafront promenade dotted with bars and restaurants,
all within walking distance of the apartment. You can also visit the
beach lidos and water polo clubs, which offer all amenities and a large
pool to visitors, as well as facilities for water sports. The Sliema
promontory offers breathtaking views of Valletta on one side and the
open sea on the other.

The Bus Terminus is just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to get
around the island. It takes only 10 minutes by bus to get to Valletta
or you can take the ferry for a small cruise around the harbor to
Valletta.

Good sized property in a good location
This apartment is plenty big enough for 4 people, with two bathrooms, and only a few minutes' walk from bars, restaurants, seafront and ferry to Valletta. Kitchen has everything you need. Was clean and tidy on arrival. We arrived late evening and were met by Alina, who told us everything we needed to know. Shortlets Malta also allowed us a late checkout until 2pm as they didn't have a booking immediately after, which was much appreciated.

Spacious clean and very well located apartment.
The apartment is in an old Maltese house which made my first visit to Malta all the more interesting. It is spacious, there were 2 of us but there is plenty of room for 4. All rooms are a good size, and it was nice to have 2 bathrooms. It is equipped with everything you would need, and the welcome pack was a nice extra touch. The location is excellent, very convenient for the buses and ferries, and also a ten minute walk in the other direction brings you to the prom on the other side of Sliema. Shortlets Malta were great to deal with, all emails replied to promptly and they were more than helpful to us. Thank you so much Ralph and Victoria.

Affordable stay, close to all amenities
Good apartment, not too big, not too small - just right for our group (we were 4 persons). The apartment block can be improved with an elevator as the stairs were a bit cumbersome. Apart from that everything went smoothly, the apartment is near the main shopping area of Sliema and the Sliema promenade - lovely to walk during the evening. Everything was clean, and the free wifi was a bonus! The Shortlets Malta team were easily accessible and they helped us book a transfer to the airport. Overall a great stay!

Appartement bien situé
Logement bien situé, spacieux, avec la clim. Un kit de nettoyage et de petit déjeuner sont mis à disposition pour votre arrivée. L’agence a organisé notre arrivée et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Deux supérettes sont à côté de l’appartement où l’on trouve tout le nécessaire. Les arrêts de bus, les ferry pour La Valette sont à 5 min à pied.

Wohnung ok -das Drumherum leider nicht
Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, sie bietet für 4 Personen ausreichend Platz. Die Lage ist ganz hervorragend, da man jedes Ziel in Sliema innerhalb weniger Minuten zu Fuß erreichen kann. Bushaltestellen befinden sich wenige Minuten entfernt, ebenso Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Einrichtungen des täglichen Lebens. Die Fotos zeigen jedoch nicht den aktuellen Zustand der Wohnung. Die Möbel sind sehr veraltet, die Wohnung ist abgewohnt. An einigen Stellen (z.B. Türrahmen, Fußbodenleisten etc.) wurde sie nie wirklich fertiggestellt, sodass sich zum Teil Löscher in den Wänden befinden, durch die man in den Nachbarraum schauen kann. Die Geräte sind alt und funktionieren teilweise nicht (z.B. Gasgrill auf dem Balkon) oder unzureichend (z.B. Spülmaschine). Als wir eintrafen, war die Wohnung nicht gereinigt. Vor allem in Küche und Bad fand sich sehr alter Schmutz, vermutlich wird die Wohnung bei Mieterwechseln nur oberflächlich geputzt. Vor allem bei längeren Aufenthalten ist problematisch, dass das Equipment nur rudimentär ist. Es gibt keinen Staubsauger und nur wenige Putzsachen, auch die Kücheneinrichtung (z.B. Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr, Besteck) sind unvollständig und/oder alt. Zu beachten ist, dass die Freimenge an Strom in Höhe von 150kWh für den gesamten Aufenthalt gilt. Das ist zwar im Mietvertrag beschrieben, an anderer Stelle aber so unglücklich formuliert, dass man von einer wöchentlichen Freimenge ausgeht. Da die Elektrogeräte nicht energieeffizient sind, reicht diese Menge nur für etwa 1 Woche (Sommer/Winter) bzw. 2 Wochen in Frühling und Herbst. Bei Aufenthalten vor Mai oder nach September sollte man wissen, dass die Wohnung in Malta üblicherweise keine Heizungen haben und vor allem im Winter/Frühling absolut auskühlen. Das Heizen mit Klimaanlage ist sehr mühselig und teuer. Die Qualität der Kommunikation mit der Hausverwaltung schwankte sehr stark. Am Anfang war man recht schnell, wenn es Probleme gab. Später reagierte man nur sehr langsam oder gar nicht mehr. So schüttete z.B. eine Putzfrau der Firma das Schmutzwasser einer anderen Wohnung über unser Wäschegerüst auf dem Balkon, eine Klärung über die Hausverwaltung war aber nicht möglich, da man einfach nicht darauf reagierte. Eine Reinung des Hausflures erfolgte in den 3 Monaten unseres Aufenthaltes nie. Da dort der gesamte Müll gelagert wird, war dies sehr unangenehm. Für maltesische Verhältnisse war die Wohnung letztlich in Ordnung, jedoch muss man viele Abstriche machen.
