This contemporary and stylishly decorated luxury riverside two double bedroom, two bathroom apartment is situated in the heart of Greenwich, a beautiful and historic part of London. It has a very large open plan lounge and kitchen (and an optional double inflatable bed). It boasts fantastic views across the river, and has excellent transport links to central London, Canary Wharf, and to the 02 Arena. It offers the perfect base from which to explore London.

THE LOCAL AREA

Greenwich is a tourist hotspot which, among it’s attractions boasts the beautiful Royal Greenwich Park, The Maritime Museum, The Royal Naval College (with 'The Painted Hall'), The Royal Observatory, The Cutty Sark ship, and Greenwich market.

Greenwich played a central role in the Olympic Games by hosting the equestrian events in Greenwich Park, making use of the beautiful historic backdrop, and stunning views across the river.

THE APARTMENT

Building - This is a small, private apartment block, with concierge. Entry to the building is controlled via a secure phone-buzzer system, and you'll be provided with two sets of keys and two fobs for access.

Bedrooms: 2 identical double bedrooms with super-comfy Queen beds. The rooms are quiet and tastefully decorated with plenty of storage space, including 2 built in wardrobes in each bedroom. One of the rooms has an ensuite shower room. This bedroom also has a wall mounted TV and dvd player.

Lounge: A wonderfully bright and spacious dual aspect lounge with floor-to-ceiling double glazed windows with direct river views and balcony. There is wooden flooring with under-floor heating, neutral decor, down-lights and furnished with 2 leather sofas, 52'flat screen TV, and dvd player, coffee table and dining table and 4 chairs.

A Double sized Air Mattress can be provided for your convenience if you want to use as an additional sleep option. This is brand new, and is of excellent quality. It pumps up automatically at the push of a button, and can be quickly deflated to put away when not in use.

Bathrooms: There are two. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom 'shower room' and there is an additional bathroom with a bath and shower. Both come complete with all of the essentials that you'd need.

Kitchen: The modern kitchen offers everything you need to prepare a big meal or quick snack before hitting the town - microwave, modern stove, oven, cutting board, toaster, kettle, fridge, cutlery sets, pots, pans and all other necessary cooking utensils!

Outside: A spacious river-front facing balcony accessed off reception room and offering uninterrupted panoramic views towards Canary Wharf, The 02, and The City. Side views towards Greenwich Observatory, Greenwich Park, Cutty Sark and beyond.

PARKING

Parking, as with all of London, there is limited free road parking in the immediate vicinity. However for guests who drive to Greenwich, who intend not to actively use their car during the stay (it really isn't needed around London), I can offer FREE PARKING in a private gated family residence about 5 miles from the apartment (about 20 mins drive away).

For those aiming to rent a car you may want to consider ZIPCAR where cars can be rented by the hour / day etc. There are several Zipcars in allocated parking bays around Greenwich.

- Greenwich mainline Train station:

The station is 6 mins walk away. It will take you to some of the following key destinations:

To London Bridge in 8 mins (South Bank, 'The City', Tower Of London etc)

To Waterloo East in 15 mins (Globe Theatre, The London Eye etc)

To Charing Cross in 21 mins (Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus etc)

- DLR (Docklands Light Railway Subway train)

This is a 3 min walk from the apartment.

The trains arrive every 4 mins at peak times and every 10 mins outside of this.

Greenwich (Cutty Sark station) to Canary Wharf in 10 mins

Cutty Sark to Bank (City – Financial district) in 21 mins

Cutty Sark to Stratford (Olympic site) in 24 mins

Cutty Sark to London City Airport in 30 mins

- Boat:

You are a 1 mins walk from the 'Thames Clipper' docking point. This is a very comfortable catamaran boat service (with Costa Coffee onboard) which arrives every 20 mins. In a westerly direction it takes you to Canary Wharf in 8 mins, Tower of London in 19 mins, London Bridge in 23 mins, and Embankment (West End) in 36 mins. In the Easterly direction, it takes you to the 02 arena in 7 minutes

FABULOUS APARTMENT IN A BEAUTIFUL PART OF LONDON

The owner (Craig) answered all of my questions before our stay and was very helpful. He kindly let us park our car at his parents' house and his Dad even drove us to the apartment, which I thought was very kind of him. When we arrived at the apartment it was absolutely amazing, the views over the Thames were incredible. The river bus terminal is only about a 5 min walk away and that will take you to the centre of London in about 35 mins. It certainly beats the tube!

Greenwich is a beautiful part of London with lots to do including the Cutty Sark, the Observatory and the walking tunnel under the Thames. There are lots of places to eat and drink and as a place to stay I don't think that this apartment can be beaten, especially as Greenwich is a nice, safe part of London and ideal as a base to explore.

Many thanks to Craig and his parents, we will definitely be back as we've already recommended this apartment to our friends.

STUNNING APARTMENT IN A GREAT LOCATION

We had a fantastic vacation at Craig's apartment. Its beautiful, modern and clean and has fantastic views across the river.

The location can't get much better as its just steps away from the Cutty Sark, and central Greenwich, which buzzes with a hive of activity. There is so much history in Greenwich, and no shortage of good restaurants and classic English family pubs!

Its also just steps away from the Thames Clipper boat service, the DLR subway, and the over land trains making it the perfect base to travel around London.

Craig, the host, was also excellent. Our flights were delayed, but he waited to meet us at the apartment, and took time to show us around and give us some recommendations. He also gave us a detailed intro pack with all the info we might need.

I would definitely return and would recommend this lovely place.

TRUE LONDON STAR!

What can I not say abut our stay here in Craig's let, it was just peaceful, posh, airy and bright. From the moment I saw his post on the site, I thought "yeah, right... someone has a great lens on their camera. I don't care, its affordable". At the most I was hoping that we all just fir in the place, their were five of us. WELL, it was so much more than I was hoping for and we all agree it is probably the nicest booking and host we could have imagined.
Craig stayed in contact with me with great charm and ease, was very eager to meet with us upon our arrival and even bought us a bit of milk and other bits and bobs. It was quite the scene when we arrived, showcasing the fact that in the main room you can open three sets of doubles doors, Craig opened them and shouted down to us to buzz him on the intercom and he would let us up. It was simply hilarious and he genuinely seemed thrilled to show us about his digs. He made sure to walk us about the whole place and show us each nook and cranny, knob, button, fixture, door... you will be pleased at how well he has done in setting the place up, a true man of taste and discerning aesthetic.
The living area is very bright and airy, tons of space and very comforting. The open kitchen is easy to manage and quite gracious. Both bathrooms are well appointed and the beds are also very relaxing. We were able to set the mood with dimmable lighting and his bose ipod dock, which kept us well subdued and mellow throughout our stay...
Craig really understands being a host and you can truly tell in his mannerisms and demeanor that he actually finds satisfaction in providing comfort and hospitality to travelers. Throughout our correspondence he has been nothing less than extraordinary in his approach... mellow, precise, gentle and accommodating. A modern day British gentleman, restoring the charm and tradition of gracious Brit hospitality, one letting at a time. I would recommend this place and this host for anyone that genuinely wants a wonderful experience feeling at home in beautiful Greenwich, England! Vive 18 !!!

PERFECT!!!

The flat was just perfect, with stunning views over the river and Canary Wharf, and just a stone's throw from the Cutty Sark and the Royal Naval College. Craig was very flexible with our arrival and departure times, and he very kindly provided milk, orange juice and a few other bits and bobs for us. I would definitely recommend it, thanks Craig!
