'JASMINA' - Apartment Sleeps 5 - This 83 square metre apartment comprises of: 2 en-suite Double Bedrooms, one with adjoining Single Bedroom, Lounge, Kitchen/Diner.
'LILIANA' - Apartment Sleeps 6 - This 85 square meter apartment comprises of: 1 en-suite Family Bedroom, 1 en-suite Double Bedroom with adjoining small Single Bedroom, Lounge, Kitchen/Diner and Family Cloakroom
'ROSITA' - Apartment Sleeps 6 - This 114 square meter apartment comprises of: 2 En-Suite Family Bedrooms, 2 Lounges, Kitchen/Diner Room and Family Cloakroom.
ALL APARTMENTS CONTAIN: Hob, oven, microwave, fridge, juicer, kettle, coffee maker and toaster, cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils, kitchen roll, washing machine, laundry soap, clothes drying rack, iron and ironing board, bed linen, towels (not pool or beach towels), hair-dryer, soaps, toilet paper and local maps and information on activities in the area. Children are welcome and a child's cot and high chair are available on request when booking (no extra cost). Sorry, not suitable for pets.
WHAT WE DON'T HAVE:
NO sofa-beds, airbeds or shared bathrooms (so No Queue for the Loo) and all Guests sleep in comfortable beds. After all, you ARE on holiday, you know !!! So why should you accept anything less?

Tony ventured into the hotel/catering business, where he gained valuable experience over many years. Julia has vast experience in office management and catering. We share a passion for period properties, natural scenic beauty and the relaxed atmosphere and surroundings we enjoy in this area.
Why This Property?
Recently converted into large spacious apartments but still retaining its historic features. The old bodega, original beamed ceilings and unusual, individual architecture all add to the charm and character of this unique, quirky property.
Unlike most apartments or villas all our bedrooms have en-suite facilities (bar one, which has a separate bathroom). All apartments are self-contained with their own private entrance and private terracing.
Velez Rubio is a small town less than 10 minutes by car with a host of bars, restaurants and all facilities. It has the advantage of local prices and non-touristic weekly market, at the same time being 5 minutes away from the motorway which will take you for a day out to Granada, or local beaches in Costa Blanca or Costa Almeria. El Olivar is a quaint, quiet and quirky 250 year old rural property.
Rosita appealed to us as a family - a most unusual apartment steeped in its history, with 200 year-old vats still in place.
We didn't do too much, the children were quite happy spending much of their time in and out of the pool. We popped into the local town of Velez Rubio most evenings for meals and drinks. All very enjoyable!
To stay in an apartment which was once the old bodega was a unique experience. A great place to stay, a great place to visit.
What a great week we had in Apartment Rosita, a huge old wine cellar which had been authentically converted. Well maintained and oozing character. Plenty of space (which the kids loved) and everything there you needed for a truly hassle-free holiday. Excellent hosts, friendly and helpful.
Having had a fantastic holiday here last year we are now planning another trip to Spain and another week at El Olivar. Rosita apartment was unique, traditional and very quirky. There was ample room for the five of us, with excellent facilities all round and a large pool area. Thanks for a great holiday Tony, we'll be in touch again soon.
What a great apartment, once the wine cellar of this old hacienda and now a comfortable holiday venue with character. The four of us had masses of space, all the facilities promised, and helpful, friendly owners. We felt quite at home during our week's stay and look forward to another visit in the future.
What an unusual apartment, originally an old bodega, it surely is a one-off. With the old terracotta wine vats still in place, full of character. Very comfortable. The mini-golf competition was great, especially as Ben won it.

Our delightful old hacienda is located in a tranquil setting with spectacular mountain views. Steeped in history, it has been lovingly converted to retain much of its character and charm, which is reflected in the quirky layouts, original beamed ceilings and traditional features within the apartments.
Outside you have large communal Patio areas with Sun-Loungers, Tables and Chairs, Swimming Pool, Petanque Playing Area and Mini Golf. Each apartment has its own private terrace. Ample car parking on-site.
Location: Just a few minutes drive from the historic town of Vélez Rubio, Holiday Apartments El Olivar has direct access from the road and is within 5 minutes of the A91/ A92N motorway, with easy access to Costa Blanca and Costa Almeria beaches, and the airports of Alicante, Almeria and Murcia.
Within a short distance are Vélez Blanco with its white-washed houses and impressive castle, the villages of Maria and Chirivel and the Sierra María-Los Vélez Natural Park conservation area. 25-35 minutes drive takes you to the larger towns of Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca, and the Costa Blanca resort of Aguilas.
