2 bedroom apartment in an ideal location, just footsteps from the sea
Where better to experience the true atmosphere of UNESCO World Heritage Perast than this sea-front apartment in a beautifully restored old-stone villa. With a private terrace jutting out into the sea, you can while away the hours sitting on the water’s edge and watching the world go by, or enjoy al fresco dining in what must be one Montenegro’s most romantic spots.
When you get tired of sitting right on the water’s edge and watching the world go by, the open plan interior is wonderfully cool in the summer and cosily warm in the winter due to the two-foot thick stone walls.
Perast is one of Montenegro’s most picturesque settlements, with pretty winding lanes and countless churches, backed by rugged cliffs and forested mountaintops.
A collection of grand merchant houses lie along the seafront, a remnant of the time when Perast was a prosperous Venetian-era trading town, lasting until the fall of the Republic of Venice in 1797.
The town makes for an ideal base to explore the Bay of Kotor and beyond - you are only a short drive away from the spectacular walled city of Kotor, Tivat marina and the beaches of the Lustica peninsula.
Having lived in Montenegro for five years now I know the coast quite well and absolutely love the relaxed lifestyle here. My favourite properties are right on the waterfront because I love swimming in the sea in the hot summer months.
It has a lovely interior with some exposed brick on the walls and a good location.
It has stunning views and a lovely waterfront location in Perast which is pedestrianised in the summer.
