The beautiful and tranquil Lustica peninsula is the setting for this hillside villa that accommodates four people and offers easy access to some of Montenegro’s very best beaches. You’ll no doubt want to see as much of the surrounding coastline as possible during your stay at Eva’s House, although we especially recommend the nearby beaches at Zanjice, Miriste, Arza and Dobrec.
Eva's House is special because despite being in a popular location, the pool is completely private from the neighbours.
Lustica is one of the most unspoilt parts of Montenegro and this makes it one of the country’s most relaxing villa holiday destinations. It’s a place to stroll along the seafront, take gentle hikes in the hills and try succulent seafood and locally made rakija at homely restaurants in fishing villages like Krasici, which is just a short walk from Eva’s House. In Krasici you’ll find a handful of shops as well as waterfront restaurants, although both Kotor and Tivat are only 15 minutes drive if you decide to venture a little further afield. On the way, you’ll pass small Lustica farmsteads set amid olive groves and orchards that produce their own cheese, prosciutto, wine and olive oil.
From Krasici, a narrow country lane leads uphill to the comfortable Eva’s House. Inside, there’s an open plan living and dining room with a modern kitchen, terracotta tiled floors, sofa and a flat screen TV. This room leads directly out onto a spacious sun terrace, where you’ll likely want to spend as much time as possible sunbathing and then cooling off in the private outdoor swimming pool. There’s also a covered terrace, accessed via the villa’s two bedrooms, and this is another great spot from which to take in the fabulous surrounding sea views.
I moved to Montenegro with my family when I was a small child as my father is Bosnian. I spend the summer months as a Travel Representative and get to travel all around the coast on a weekly basis to the different properties and get to meet our visitors. My favourite properties are the ones with great pool areas and comfortable sun beds, perfect for topping up your tan!
Alex purchased this villa in 2012
It has a good pool and a good location with great views and a balcony.
It has a very private pool and sun-deck area and is perfect for a family.
Lustica Peninsula has an extremely rich cultural heritage embodied by a number of churches. Once an isolated community, there are farms and smallholders producing their own cheese, prosciutto, wine and rakija (national alcohol drink) from local ingredients. Olive groves are also plentiful although many are uncultivated and overgrown. It has the finest beaches and resorts in Herceg Novi municipality, including Zanjice, Miriste, Arza and Dobrec. The biggest tourist centre is Krasici with many houses and apartments for rent. The stunning views and scenery, clean sea, warm summers and relative isolation make Lustica an attractive tourist destination. You could enjoying walking, hiking, water sports, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings in one of the numerous fishing villages there.
