Fully refurbished for 2013/14 season our spacious (66 sq m plus 8 sq m balcony) duplex apartment is on the fourth floor of this typical apartment building in La Tania and sleeps maximum 8.

There are 2 good size bedrooms with twin beds, two bathrooms and a sauna. There is a small mezzanine suitable for one bed and with the further possibility for three more people sleeping on sofa beds in the spacious living area.

The living area is bright, spacious and comfortable with large picture windows and a door leading out to the south facing balcony with views over the mountains and forest.

The building is located near the top of the resort and you can ski in and out easily. It couldn't be easier to pop home for lunch in the sun before going back to the slopes for an afternoon ski.

If you are driving we have a reserved space in the underground car park as well as an external parking space. If you come by train from Paris to Moutiers its only a half hour taxi ride up the mountain. The resort facilities are a five minute walk away.

Bedroom 1 with twin beds is on the mezzanine floor with a window over-looking the mountains.

Bedroom 2 is as you come into the apartment on the left and has twin beds and a window overlooking the valley.

The bathroom on the mezzanine floor has a shower cubicle, toilet, basin and a sauna.

The bathroom on the main floor next to bedroom two has a bath with hand shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is located discretely in the living/dining area and is small but adequately equipped with a sink, four ring electric hob, dishwasher, fridge and a combi microwave.

There is a washing machine situated in a recess in the entrance hall.

The living/dining room is large, bright and spacious. There is a pine table, bench seat and chairs and two sofas with pull out beds under. Large picture windows with door leading out to south facing balcony.

A new 32 ins flat screen TV is available with UK and French free sat channels. Free WIFI available.

Our property managers will meet you on or shortly after your arrival to welcome you and take care of any queries. Cleaning is included. Bed linen and towels can be hired for a small extra charge.

I've been a keen skier since childhood - my parents never took summer holidays, only winter holidays and those often in Meribel. I worked two ski seasons after university and dragged my husband to the mountains when we were in our 20s. Our three children have skied since they were 4 years old and one of them has done his own ski season now. We live in London and sadly still only have time for one week skiing each year but it's one family holiday we never miss.

Caroline Charnock purchased this apartment in 2006

Our main criteria when buying our apartment was to combine a level of affordability, ease of access and the best possible skiing we could find. La Tania is THE perfect resort for this, being so wonderfully connected to one of the largest and best linked ski areas in France. We wanted ski in and and ski out since we all hate lugging our skis around; and, as we were limited to school holidays, we wanted somewhere with a good and well maintained lift system - we hate queueing! Even in peak weeks we have never had to queue for long either in La Tania itself or anywhere else in the Three Valleys as the French invest so wonderfully in their ski lifts - each year we come across newer and faster ones. Final bonus - the wonderful Folyeres run back to our apartment is of the best 'home runs' in the alps. We love the Three Valleys and in our opinion La Tania is the best of all possible locations in the Three Valleys for a great family holiday.

We love this apartment for it's view of the mountains, the sun on the balcony at lunchtime, the spacious living room which is so bright and sunny during the daytime. We often pop back for lunch in the apartment - jump out of our skis outside and run up to enjoy a baguette in the sun on the balcony. Then off back up the La Tania bubble - no queue - and a great afternoon skiing. Last vin chaud in the Bouc Blanc before a blast down the Folyeres back to the apartment at the end of the day for a well earned sauna and shower.

Our family of five stayed here during half term and it was great. The apartment is very practical, nicely furnished and well laid out at the upper end of the resort. Its a quiet location but handy for the town - a bit of a climb if you are walking involving 3 flights of steps (still only takes 5 mins) but you can ski straight on and off the slope using an access track that is next to the apartment block and ski lockers. Good facilities, dishwasher, combi-microwave, DVD player and wi-fi plus a sauna which is fab after a day's skiing.

We stayed in Caroline's apartment during the first week of February 2014. The duplex apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The lounge space is double height so doesn't have the usual cramped feel of a French ski apartment. The apartment has WIFI, British Freeview TV and a Sauna which were appreciated by everyone in our group!

The apartment is ideally located for exploring all areas within the 3 Valleys. The Blue Folyeres is a fantastic run back to the apartment at the end of the day.

Caroline's booking procedures and arrival instructions were very well organised.

We would stay in this apartment again, and would recommend it to others.

Lovely apartment, could ski in and out which was great, lifts to the 4th floor so no stairs to climb and in the quiet area of La Tania so nice and quiet in the evening. (It can get noisy in the centre in the evening).
Would definatly go again, we had a great week.

The apartment was spacious and we enjoyed the overall feel of the place very much, the kitchenette was well loaded with plenty of crockery (nothing worse than having to constantly cycle plates/dishes), and the variety of pots/pans was great too. We found your apartment to be excellent value for money, wonderfully located close to, yet far away enough from the village to be very family friendly.

La Tania is the newest of the Three Valley resorts - a pretty traffic free village nestling in the trees between Courchevel and Meribel with very easy access to the whole Three Valleys areas from it's 12 person high-speed gondola lift, which brings you up to the 'Col de la Loze' above Courchevel 1850. Created originally for the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games and developed since then, the resort is a lower-priced alternative to the neighbouring resorts of Meribel and Courchevel but shares the same slopes with quick access to either area. Accommodation is primarily in several tasteful apartment residences all offering on-piste location.

The pistes returning to La Tania meander through the heart of the forest with both blue and red north facing runs giving excellent snow conditions from the start to the end of the season. For added security, the Folyeres blue piste is protected with snow canons so you can be sure you can ski home, even when snow is in short supply elsewhere. For beginners, La Tania has it's own nursery slope in the village where the ski school is also located so the resort is good for families and mixed ability groups. The ski schools are of a very good standard with both ESF and Magic Ski Academy offering limited group sizes and quality teaching.

The bars and restaurants in the village all face south, making ideal lunchtime venues not forgetting the charming mountain restaurant 'Bouc Blanc' located at the top of the La Tania bubble. From an apres-ski point of view, the popular English run 'Ski Lodge' is a lively venue with theme and event nights throughout the season for celebrations such as New Year and St Patrick's Day as well as the famous La Tania Charity Day which takes place at the end of the season. For those looking for gastronomic excellence, 'Le Farcon' restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2006 and is an excellent place to eat or for traditional local food, you can't beat 'La Ferme' or the 'Marmotton'. The 'Taiga' is another popular bars/restaurant in the resort with a recently renovated cocktail bar or there's the piano bar at the 'Hotel Montana' and the 'Chrome Bar'.
