Beachfront apartments wirh swimmingpool by The Caribbean Sea

The size of the apartments is approx. 85 m2 with one or

two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room combined with a kitchen. There is common accsess to the 2 bedrooms.

The bedrooms have queensize beds. The apartments have wifi, cable TV, air condition in all rooms, a well equipped kitchen and swimming pool. From the garden it is direct access to the beach.

From the porch it is a stunning view out to the Caribbean and the

breathtaking sunsets. In the garden among the tropical plants and flowers you can watch hummingbirds and other colourful birds, and you can walk out the gate from the garden and do snorkelling on the beach to look at colourful fishes.

All our guests will be met at the airport and transported down to the apartments, and we will make sure that the fridge is filled with food and drinks by arrival intended for the first day support.

After almost 20 years on Tobago, we have established an unique network that will benefit our guests.

My wife and I are born and live in Norway in a little town called Skien - the same place as we grew up and went to school.

We are now both retired and spend lots of time in our house in Tobago.

Stein and Edel Foss purchased this apartment in 2005

My wife and I went to Tobago for the first time in 1993. We fell in love with the beautiful island and the people there, and continued our travelling to Tobago every year. In 2005 we were lucky to get the opportunity to purchase a piece of land almost on the beach by the Caribbean Sea. The same year we build our house on the premises. By now we have travelled back and forth to Tobago for 20 years. The name ' Pride of Courland ' was

taken from the old wooden house that were on the premises before we built our new house.

The place is unique and has a breathtaking view out to the Caribbean Sea and the sunsets you can enjoy from the porch.

The coconut trees overhanging the beach together with a wide variety of colourful birds, a lush garden with tropical plants and flowers combined with the sound from the sea.

We have just returned from our two week holiday in Tobago staying at Pride of Courland in the lovely Blue Bird apartment.

Everything was very well organised from our pick-up by Steve of Island Investments at Crown Point airport on arrival, to our departure 14 days later.

The apartments are very comfortable and well equipped and had everything we needed for a relaxing self-catering stay with good quality furnishings and fittings. Theodora, who comes in to clean etc. is exceptional. She cooked us a typical local meal one evening of pork stew with crab dumplings (yummy) as well as organising a fishing trip with a local fisherman in his boat for my husband.

We took advantage of Washie’s car hire and toured all around the beautiful island of Tobago during our stay.

A barbeque is provided for each of the apartments and we tended to barbeque one night and then eat out the next. There are many exceptional restaurants to choose from close to the apartments, our personal favourite being The Shirvan Watermill. The Seahorse Inn has lovely food but the service is somewhat lacking. The Fishpot is also a very good and less formal option.

We have visited Tobago on many other occasions but our visit to Blue Bird apartment in Pride of Courland will live long in our memories and we would definitely recommend it to friends and family – Fantastic.

Perfect place to unwind

We stayed here over the New Year period, and found the apartment to be all that it promised to be from the pictures. We ate our meals on the patio by the pool, with the waves breaking on the other side of the garden gate, whilst watching the beautiful birds flocking to the bird-feeder. At night time it was very relaxing to drink rum punches and have a bbq, with the occasional dip in the floodlit pool. The bedroom was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning, and the bathroom was huge, with a great shower area. The kitchen area was also a good size and well-equipped. The property, which is very well secured, was in a good location for exploring the island by day (its worth calling Washy for a quote for hiring the car that is on site when you arrive! A car is strongly recommended) and stayed at the property during the evenings. We didn't feel the need to go in search of nightlife. There is some decent snorkelling to be had outside the villa, and strong swimmers can find it worthwhile to swim around the rocky headland to the bay next door where we found some interesting marine life. The waves infront of the villa can be quite large, with a strong pull underneath, so some caution is needed.
All in all we would like to thank the owners for a fabulous stay and for allowing us to have our own luxury paradise for a few days!

Concerning the strong currents in the sea - that is a seasonal event, special in the
period Nov. to May. In that period guests have to take precautions when they take a swim
by keeping close to the shore.

Diving and snorkelling, birdwatching hummingbirds, pelicans, fregatebirds and a great variety of sugar birds and watching the giant leather back turtles lying their eggs in the darkness on the beach just outside our yard in the period March - July.
