Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful holiday cottage, we have stayed at many holiday properties big & small, the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure everything is provided, even down to little things like cotton wool balls in bathroom and spare light bulbs. This cottage is delightful from the time you enter the cosy lounge.

Not far from beach so wonderful for the dogs, they had a great time. Good Beach cafe with sumptuous cakes! Winterton is a lovely village, lots of thatched cottages and roses round the doors. Although in a quiet village not far from the rest of the world!

Delightful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this delightful cottage.

This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in and also a lovely area.

The welcome pack was much appreciated - wine and chocolate included what could be better !

It was lovely to find such a nice cottage that welcomed our dogs as well and we all had a wonderful time walking on the beach that was only minutes away.

We will be back !!!!

Surpassed all expectations.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Admiral cottage was one to remember and one that we will be repeating, a gorgeous sympathetic styled cosy cottage that felt like a home from home.

I loved the extra touches of milk in fridge, tea and coffee and the welcome pack ( yummy )

Everything was spotlessly clean and as per description and had even been decorated for Christmas, a magical touch.

From booking to the end of our stay everything was perfect, I have already recommended to friends and am looking forward to visiting again in the summer.

The village of Winterton is lovely with a fantastic village pub literally round the corner that served excellent food with welcoming and friendly staff and patrons, a great atmosphere.

The beach was idyllic the dogs thought it was great too! With the added bonus of seals coming up to bask in its glory.

I could go on and on and can't recommend Admiral cottage enough.

Stunning, immaculate, quaint, 5mins from the beach

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location, fab cottage, very good price, I would recommend to anybody. I came up to Norfolk for my mother in law's birthday (and it was a big one, so it had to be right!) We stayed in admiral, which is a beautiful thatched roofed cottage, with good quality furnishings. It is not lacking in kitchen equipment. It was quite honestly the cleanest self catering property I have ever visited. It was immaculate and homely and has a fantastic ambiance with a quaint cosy feel. We had such a relaxing time, and the village is quiet and peaceful, with a general shop, post office and chip shop (which I would also highly recommend.)

Ticked all the boxes!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this beautiful, pet friendly cottage in the pretty village of Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk - a lovely place with its own friendly pub and superb expanse of dog friendly beach. It is really beautiful inside with a lovely nautical Nelson theme and has been decorated sensitively to the age and style of the cottage. The stunning master bedroom has its own (powerful) ensuite shower room and is tucked away in the attic and during the recent storm, we felt protected from all the elements - in fact we hardly heard a thing! There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor which has its own ensuite bath/shower room which was huge. The kitchen had all the facilities that one would need and everything was clean and fresh. We enjoyed the proximity to the Fishermans Return Pub which does a lovely range of food (and excellent beer) - also dog friendly and we were minutes away from the lovely beach. A fine fish and chip shop is also around the corner.

I also liked the lobby area which meant that sandy walking boots, fleeces etc could be kept in there and it was also handy for rubbing down damp dogs so that we could keep the carpet clean during our stay.

Little touches, such as the welcome 'pack' of wine, teas, coffee and a pint of milk were also very welcome.

Our dogs, Maisie and Billy particularly enjoyed Admiral Cottage and settled in beautifully. I am sure they looked rather sad as we packed up to go home!

Thank you so much Samantha for making our stay in Winterton so perfect.

Surprisingly nice and cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

We (3 adults) from the Netherlands were very surprised when we entered this cottage. The owner allowed us to enter the cottage much earlier because we did not have to travel a long way from the Harwich-Hook of Holland ferry.

This well equipped cottage was situated in a nice small village and just a little walk from the beach. Although in the neighborhood of Great Yarmouth, the typical seaside holiday noisiness was far far away.

Everything anyone would need was available such as dishwasher, bedding and towels. Even a bigger surprise was the house-keeper that arrived on the second Friday to clean the cottage and change the bedding.

We frequently walked on the beach and cycled the area.

It was even a petty we had to leave after a 2 weeks stay. Those weeks felt like we were there only a few days.

We were very glad we booked this property in stead of some standard holiday park apartment, cottage or mobile home.

If we choose another holiday to spent in this region, we sincerely will consider booking again.

Fantastic break

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful cottage - superbly appointed throughout and just a stones throw from the beach as well.

The welcome pack was an added bonus and the log fire was soon pumping out plenty of heat - even the dog seemed to appreciate the benefits of that.

Long walks on the beech and then back via the pub for some hearty food by a very welcoming staff and even the dog made to feel at home.

A suberb little gem in a quiet corner of Norfolk but quiet easy to travel to other locations as well.

Wonderful cottage and village - can't wait to go back.
