Pollensa in catalan officially Pollença in a town of the Balearic Islands in Spain.Situated at the North of the island of Mallorca an just in front of the island of Menorca, It’s got an extension of 151km2 and a population of about 16 thousand inhabitants.
Some of the highlight in Pollensa are the walk up the Calvary steps, the roman bridge, the municipal museum, the cloister, de summer Music Festival and lots of art exhibitions, the Sunday market at the square, the excursion up to the monastery of Puig de Maria and the Golf Club.
Winston Churchill relaxed in Pollensa, it inspired Agatha Christie and Peter Ustinov just to holiday here as well as other important artists. Formentor can presume of its fantastic beach which you can accede by road or by sea using the boats that leave from Pto. Pollensa, they are a good idea as you can enjoy a trip round the Pollensa bay, views of the coast, the impressive villas on the mountain side and the famous Formentor beach.
