Provence Villa With Swimming Pool, Terraces And Panoramic Views

A luxury villa situated on over 2.2 ha land between Grimaud and La Garde Freinet enjoys fabulous views to the hills near St Tropez. Easy access via the private gate and ample car parking.

The villa is light, airy, spacious with pool and patio area on the south side, new built 2006 in Provencal style. All bedrooms are en-suite with own terraces that enjoys views over the beautiful countryside. The view goes as far as the Chateau and the lighthouse on Cap Camerat at distance. The lounge and dining area opens onto the terrace, pool and patio. Two of the bedrooms have also direct access from terrace onto the pool area. A local English and French speaking guardian welcomes you on your arrival (if during the day or otherwise arrange access for you).

The villa is well equipped with large lounge and dining room with fire place and terrace, a fully fitted kitchen and four comfortable bedrooms, each with own bath/shower room and terrace overlooking garden and countryside. All furniture and beds are acquired new in 2012.

There is a large garden with palm and olive trees, and views over the Medieval Castle of Grimaud. A large covered terrace with outside dining table, leads onto the 5x10 m pool and its comfortable pool side sitting group for relaxing. The house is surrounded with cork oak forest and pine trees, in a quiet rural area, yet easy access from the busy St Tropez bay area.

We have visited this part of France for about 10 years on holidays and have enjoyed being here so much that we in 2012 bought this villa. We also have an apartment in Grimaud that we now intend to sell. We are a Norwegian/British married couple with two grown up children living in Norway. The villa has everything needed for a wonderful holiday, great weather, unspoilt countryside, cosmopolitan St Tropez and wonderful beaches. We love to walk, and there are endless trails with incredible views direct from the villa. In the villa you are away from the crowds, but only ten minutes drive away you are in the hustle and bustle of the Riviera. The hill top village Grimaud has good restaurants, as well as the villages La Garde Freinet, Cogolin, St Maxime, Gassin, Ramatuelle and St Tropez. Several good beaches may be reached in 10 minutes drive.

Grimaud is a charmimg medieval village crowned by its Feudal castle , which was considered the guardian of the Gulf of St Tropez. The village invites to take a walk through the centuries; strolling along shady little lanes at the discovery of remarkable sites provides calm and serenity, even at the height of the season. The village has a dozen of good restaurants at choice. Both the village and the yacht harbour Port Grimaud deserves attention. In the canals of Port Grimaud you will find Venice like restaurants. Further up the valley from the villa, La Garde Freinet is one of Provence best preserved villages. The actress Jeanne Moreau formerly lived in the village, as did Anna Karina. Many artist still reside here. La Garde Freinet winds its way through dense and proud chestnut groves, where you can admire cork oaks and maritime pine trees.

It is set in the hillside with panorama view. All bedrooms are en-suite with terrace where you can enjoy the view over the countryside and the Chateau. Large sitting room with fireplace and doors leading direct onto the terrace. The villa is maintained by a gardener, pool man and the guardian who welcome and make everything run smoothly.

The villa is modern, built in 2006 in a typical Provencal style, making it comfortable for holidays. The house has everything needed with good quality furniture, terraces and a swimming pool. The villa is equipped with the latest Smart TV, Sky plus with sport and movie channels and WiFi for internet access.

We enjoyed our holiday very much and appreciated the stay in La Licorne. It’s such a wonderful location, beautifully decorated with comfortable and luxurious equipment and very appropriate for 2 families. We really appreciated the meals on the terrasse with such a wonderful view.
Even though we felt a little bit lonesome in the second week (after departure of our friends) we always enjoyed coming back to La Licorne after having spent our days at rather crowded beaches, villages and supermarkets (we knew this area only in June & September ...).

Next time we will stay in this area we will certainly be in touch with you.

I'm writing to let you know that we're settling into the Villa La Licorne with no problems. Thank you so much for your tour of the house. As you can see, I had no difficulty hooking up to the internet.

Patrick and I did a quick shopping this morning. His mum & dad were still asleep when we returned. They live in Arizona, and they may find it a little cool at first. For us, it's very comfortable, having gone through a longer than usual Canada winter.

It's a beautiful house. The owners can be proud of their work. If we notice anything that requires adjustment, I'll let you know. Having gone through several renovations, we're alert to problems large & small.

This beautiful villa is ideally situated in a quiet location yet is in easy reach of St Tropez, Port Grimaud, St Maxime and many beautiful beaches. 1 hr 20 mins from Nice Airport or 20 mins from nearest motorway junction. The nearby unspoiled villages in the area boasts many restaurants from Haute Cuisine to more casual dining. The villages have markets of fresh produce one day in the week. Many nice walks in the nearby hills or on the nicely prepared coastal paths. Several roads are suitable for cycling or paths for off-road. There are many nice beaches in St Tropez area. Many other attractions as the Gorges de Verdon and boat trips to Porquerolles islands are within reach, if you are not visiting the many wine yards near by or do horse riding in the Maures hills. Golf courses within easy reach at Beauvallon (Grimaud), St Maxime or Gassin.

Notes

  • 15% deposit required on booking. Final payment due 8 weeks before start of the rental. Refundable damage deposit of 250 Euro. Bed linen and towels (but not beach towels) are included. Electricity and water included. Cleaning are included in the rate. The rental period shall commence at 4.00pm on the first day and finish at 10.00am on the day of departure.

    Babysitting and cooking services may be available on request. Additional cleaning during stay also available at tenant’s cost.
  • To reserve the property the you should confirm the booking on email after receipt of confirmed availability and together with payment of the initial Booking Fee (20% of the total rent due). The party leader must be at least 18 years at the time of booking.

    Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
    You are strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc., since these are not covered by the Owner's insurance.
  • A security deposit of 300 Euro payable with the rent this is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages during the stay at the property or the contents. Any damages should be reported to the owner immediately, and arrangements made for recompense. Compensation will be limited to repair, restoration, replacement or substitution acceptable to the owner and shall first be paid for out of the proceeds of any Security Deposit. If damages exceed the deposit, or no security deposit has been taken the client will pay for damage immediately it occurs, or prior to vacating the property.

    Only those persons stipulated on the Enquiry may use the property unless the Owner has given written permission.

    The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property grounds and pool, leaving them in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those residents in neighboring properti
