The house: The 'Lagar de los Almendros' is an authentic home-winery eighteenth century with its own vine located in the Sierra de Los Lagares.
The strategic location allows beautiful views over the valley and mountain meadows adjacent to farms.
The building has been recently restored with the utmost respect for the original architecture, but with new and efficient facilities. Some of the furnishings are authentic to the era of the csa.
The property has two lounges (one the old winery where the grapes are trod) and a billiard room in the cellar in basement with old brick vault.
Along with construction there are several places to stay outside to enjoy the view and relax. The bedrooms are very spacious and two of them have annexed stay. This configuration allows great flexibility to use the house as far as accommodation, enabling the enjoyment of other separate enclosures for different ededes.
The pool is very large and easily accessible from the house. Next to it is a large gazebo.
The farm is surrounded by beautiful trails along the mountains.

The farm is located 14 km from the town of Trujillo, a beautiful medieval and Renaissance population imposing castle, palaces, churches and convents. The important walled city was 'cradle' and 'embassy' in Spain the Viceroyalty of Peru for being the birthplace of Pizarro. The town, located on the Ruta de la Plata already existed when the Romans in the third century BC, who built the first fort. Trujillo remained important during the Middle Ages (Arabic domination and Christian conquest) but what gave the city its new wealth was the conquest of America, as Pizarro, conqueror of Peru, Orellana discovered the Amazon and many others, were trujillanos.
The region and its countryside is beautiful and diverse, one of the places in Europe for watching and studying birds.
The food is excellent, famous for pork, game dishes and cheeses.
