An enthralling seaside escape with wonderful panoramic sea views!

Embracing the regency splendour and breath-taking views of Hesketh Crescent, this newly refurbished penthouse offers an exclusive holiday setting for a 5* stay in Torquay!

“The amazing & unique opportunity that awaits guests staying at The Lighthouse, is being the first to greet the sunrise and the last say goodbye to the setting sun ~ every day the experience is exciting & inspiring!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

Situated to the top floor of the end terrace house, this beautifully positioned penthouse apartment is the ideal choice for groups and families who are looking for a peaceful and discerning sea view retreat from which to enjoy the peace and timeless amusements of the English Riviera.

The spacious penthouse is bright and welcoming throughout and is elegantly presented in a restful palette of soft creams and soothing greens, to provide a serene sanctuary in which to unwind and entertain.

Idyllic sea views across Meadfoot Beach and towards Berryhead, Shag Rock and Thatcher Rock provide an iconic backdrop to the mix of contemporary period-style interior, which is fully furnished and equipped to offer the perfect home-from-home experience!

“You'll never be disappointed even if it's not sunny outside ~ it’s an incredible experience watching and feeling the drama of stormy weather, as the powerful waves crash against the seawalls delivering sea spray right up to the Lighthouse windows!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

A spacious living room paints a homely scene for ambient evenings in and for year-round getaways, with a wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD & CD player and free Wi-Fi provided for guest’s entertainment.

“After dinner, you can relax in our spacious & cosy lounge with a glass of wine enjoying the twinkling, shimmering lights of Torquay, Paignton & Brixham across the bay!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

The sumptuous seating area also offers the perfect spot to enjoy your favourite films from whilst taking in the uninterrupted sea views.

“When the sun shines, you can open all the lounge windows and fill the apartment with beautiful fresh sea air!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

The open plan layout of the room is ideal for relaxed holiday living, being situated next to a chic and fully-equipped kitchen diner, which boasts romantic sea views framed by arching pine trees.

“The dining room boasts an equally fantastic view ~ prehistoric in it's formation, possibly not having changed for centuries!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

The sleeping accommodation is equally extensive and stylish to evoke the escapism of a seaside holiday; offering boutique-style comfort for groups of up to 6 guests with an option to sleep an additional 7th guest on a sofa bed but an additional tariff of £50.

**Please Note: the NEW HomeAway nightly pricing & tariff calculator displayed to the right, calculates nightly rates by taking the weekly tariff rate and dividing it by 7. This nightly rate is misrepresented, as it does not take into account Short Break Percentages explained in the Tariff Notes section below. Sadly we have no control over this new trend towards nightly 'hotel-style' pricing so please get in touch and we will be happy to help you further.**

Torquay is the jewel in the Torbay crown and has seen a lot of investment in recent years, with more attractions, inner harbour and slip way renovations, the introduction of Living Coasts and a plethora of great dining and harbour side cafés. The latest news indicates that the new shape of Torquay is attracting inward investment from luxury hotel chains, which can only boost its popularity further and a return year on year of the very popular wheel, seen at the London Olympics. Hesketh Crescent however is a quiet haven in the most sought after part of Torbay, yet within easy striking distance of all amenities. It has the best of all worlds!

The English Riviera - The perfect choice:

The English Riviera is a resort in the truest sense of the word, attracting visitors of all ages and interests throughout the year. Undergoing a water front regeneration and a number of new attractions in Torquay and accommodation schemes, Torquay has something for everyone and for all ages, at all times of the year!

Torquay has been one of the UK 's top holiday destinations since Victorian Times when the gentry promenaded, bathing huts were wheeled down to the beaches and anyone who was anyone had an attractive villa overlooking the sea.

It was the Victorians who first used the English Riviera name to describe their favourite resort and their legacy remains to this day with sparkling white villas perched on the verdant hilltops, beautiful gardens around the seafront and elegant Victorian facades along the main streets.

Don't be fooled by the Victorian ancestry however, Torquay is also a vibrant and forward thinking resort attracting visitors of all interests, from Art and Culture afficionados to marine enthusiasts.

Torquay's famous seven hills provide the backdrop to a waterfront scene that matches anything you'll find on the French Riviera.

Stunning panoramic views along 22 miles of coastline

There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves and beaches and walks to rival any in the South West of England, with a climate that belongs somewhere much further south. There are opportunities for surfing, safe swimming, diving, sailing, angling and wonderful opportunities to study the natural wildlife at your leisure

Stunning views are to be seen just about every where across Torbay, out over the English Channel , along the 40 miles of Lyme Bay to Portland Bill or inland towards the Ten Tors Dartmoor. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit Dartmouth , Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth , all of which are only a few miles distant.
