Very Close To The Beach With Pool And Sea Views

The apartment, just a 5 minute walk from the beach, offers luxury, air-conditioned accommodation for 4 people. Situated in a corner position on the first-floor, it benefits from a large terrace and superb pool and sea views. The small low-rise complex with its beautifully maintained gardens nestles comfortably against a back-drop of the Alboran Hills in the Manilva area. The apartment comprises of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a lounge/diner and small kitchen. The complex, with its gated perimeter, boasts a secure underground car park,lifts to all floors and the services of a full-time Caretaker. Located just a 4 minute drive from the beautiful Port of Duquesa, the Costa Del Sol’s best kept secret, 25 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 50 minutes from Malaga airport.

Many excellent places to visit close by, including numerous Golf Courses and Marbella and Puerto Banus are just a 25 minute drive away. Alternatively, you may wish to travel a similar distance in the opposite direction and enjoy a memorable day in Gibraltar.

CAR: Recommended but not essential

Our modern and bright apartment, on this increasingly popular complex, provides an ideal base for relaxing by the pool or beach, or sightseeing in an area of Southern Spain that enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year. Although this complex was only completed six years ago there are now numerous visitors who are returning year after year and relishing the opportunity to experience the quality of life in ‘real Spain’!

The complex consists of four low-rise blocks of apartments positioned around a fabulous garden and pool area which is beautifully maintained (and supervised by a Lifeguard at peak times). Sunbeds and parasols are provided around the pool area for your comfort or if you prefer to make the 5 minute walk to the beach, food and drinks are available at the beach bars (chiringuitos) all day. Since the main photo was taken there has been a wire mesh fence erected around the pool so that it can be locked when not in use for safety reasons. A lifeguard will be present when the pool is in use. The popular ‘Floria’ beach bar also has it’s own program of entertainment at peak times.

Our family has been holidaying at the apartment several times a year since we bought it Each time our holiday ends we have been very reluctant to leave. The apartment is modern, bright, tastefully furnished - with all the comforts of home but with the additional bonus of overlooking a great pool and the Mediterranean Sea. Like many people who visit this complex we are often happy to just relax by the pool or on the beach and we know that there are many fabulous areas and attractions that we have yet to visit. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday, walking, golfing or sight-seeing - we feel sure that you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic - immaculate, spacious and well situated

My girlfriend and I spent a week here last month and we had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The spacious apartment was absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed (kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven etc.).

The bed was very comfy, the bathrooms spotless, and the balcony (with a great sea-view!) was great for relaxing in the afternoons and evenings, and for eating our dinner. The pool was great, too.

The apartment block itself was extremely well situated – it was just a short walk down to the beach, from where you could walk to Puerto Duquesa where there were loads of great bars and restaurants. There were two big supermarkets nearby, and an excellent little bus service that took you there and back, or up to the lovely village of Manilva itself. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful apartment!

The apartment was beautiful inside and had a lovely big balcony with a view of the pool and the sea, The pool area was great. The apartment was in an ideal location for us just over the road from the beach and we enjoyed walking to Duquesa in the evenings for the many nice restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed our holiday and would love to come back.

Great Apartment

We spent a week here last July and really enjoyed our stay (a week wasn't long enough really as there was plenty to see and do). The apartment was very clean, bright and modern with good quality, comfortable beds. The apartment was in a superb location on the complex. The large terrace which overlooked the pool area, provided a great place on which to sit and relax. The pool area was fantastic with one large pool and a separate, small one for very young children. (The children were having a great time). The beach was only a very short walk away or you could drive a few minutes down the coast to even nicer beaches at Sabinillas or Estepona. The marina at Duquesa was lovely with an extensive choice of bars and quality restaurants. There really was something to suit every taste. In the evening around the marina there were a number of market stalls selling craft items and just round the corner, by the beach, there were trampolines and small rides for the children together with a small train, but I think these only operated during the busier tourist months. We would recommend this apartment and will definitely be staying there again.

Stunning Apartment with Great Views

I stayed at this wonderful apartment for several weeks and loved every minute of it. Because my booking was for more than two weeks I received a special rate which was very competitive and excellent value for money.

The apartment is in an ideal position on this lovely complex. To the right are the Alboran Hills where I saw many varieties of birds, including an eagle! It overlooks the pool which is surrounded by immaculately well-kept gardens which are a joy to see.

The decor is bright and modern and it is very tastefully furnished. You can relax in the comfortable lounge and look out of the patio doors to enjoy the view of the sea. The apartment has only just been put on the rental market so everything is in beautiful condition. Due to its position on the complex it has a large balcony that gets the sun's rays from early morning till late afternoon. Even though it was late September/October when I stayed there it was still wonderfully sunny!

I found it to be a safe and friendly location with so much to see and do. Even though I didn't hire a car it was easy to get around. The extensive, unspoilt beach is just a few minutes walk away. I often enjoyed food and drinks at one of the beach bars or I would walk further along to the fantastic port of Duquesa which has a lovely atmosphere. There are a large variety of restaurants located around the marina, eg. Mexican, Chinese, Indian and English. My favourite was the Thai restaurant where the staff were so friendly and the food delicious. I enjoyed numerous visits to Duquesa either for a late morning coffee or in the evening to relax and 'people-watch' around the pretty harbour. When I was feeling particularly energetic I would walk along the beach to the lively seaside resort of Sabinillas, which is favoured by the Spanish. (In a car it would only take you 5 minutes to get there).

There is a good local bus service - Estepona is only 20 minutes away and from there you catch a bus to Marbella, Puerto Banus and Malaga. In the opposite direction is Gibraltar where I went on the cable car to see the apes on the rock, had a leisurely lunch, then shopped for some duty-free.

I had a very enjoyable holiday in a great location. Whichever activity I undertook I was happy in the knowledge that I was going back to a gorgeous apartment where I would sit on the balcony with a chilled glass of wine admiring the scenery. I would definately recommend this apartment and just can' wait to go back!

With so many great places to visit you will literally be spoilt for choice.....

PUERTO DE LA DUQUESA: 3 minutes drive from the apartment.

(You can also stroll to Duquesa along the beach – mostly along a paved promenade, which takes about 30 minutes). A picturesque marina which really needs to be seen to be appreciated! Attractive promenades encircle this splendid marina full of gently bobbing boats. A wide variety of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes provide food and drinks to tempt every palate – all at a reasonable price. Many of the establishments now have their own regular programs of entertainment in the evenings, particularly during the peak months. Just outside the marina a small area caters for the needs of the younger visitors with a ‘bouncy castle’, mini-trampolines and a small train which travels round the area. To the left and right of the marina are beautiful beaches where you can hire a sun-lounger for the day and sample various delicacies, such as the freshly caught fish, at one of the beach bars (chirinquitos) which are open during the Summer months. Dolphin trips, boat hire and microlight flights can all be booked at the marina.

SABINILLAS: 5 minutes drive from the apartment. An authentic Spanish fishing village with a wide beach, long promenade and a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes where you can enjoy a drink or a meal overlooking the sea. At certain times of the year you can visit the ‘Feria’ (fair) or join in with the celebrations at one of the many splendid and colourful ‘Fiestas’. Five minutes inland from Sabinillas a very large and popular Sunday market is held.

ESTEPONA: 15 minutes drive from the apartment with a small marina, long promenade and excellent beach, restaurants and bars. Across the road from the beach you can roam around the many shops or stop for a drink in one of the authentic Spanish squares (plazas).

SOTOGRANDE: A 15 minute drive in the direction of Gibraltar will take you to Sotogrande, one of the most luxurious sports and residential developments in Europe, favoured by the rich and famous. Unspoilt beaches, a world class marina and incredible bars, restaurants, polo clubs and golf courses provide a unique, up-market experience. Visit on a Sunday morning and view the craft market situated in the most amazing spot!

MANILVA & CASARES: Just a short drive into the hills is the beautifully authentic village of Manilva and the white-washed hillside houses of Casares, both of which are well worth a visit. The Roman Baths in Manilva, have developed into a popular tourist attraction due to their great historical significance.

Gibraltar.....Marbella...... Puerto Banus All less than a half-hour drive from the apartment and offering a spectacular day/evening out which, quite simply, should not be missed! (If you prefer to sit back and enjoy the scenery you could even take the bus or travel on one of the locally organised ‘coach trips’).

SHOPPING CENTRES: La Canada in Marbella, El Corte Ingles in Puerto Banus, Orange Square in Marbella, a variety of popular English shops in Gibraltar (including a ‘Morrisons’ supermarket).

GOLF COURSES: There are numerous golf courses, in spectacular settings, within this area, including the internationally renowned ‘Valderrama’ and ‘San Roque’ (which are only a short drive away). The closest course to the apartment is ‘La Duquesa Golf and Country Club’ which is located just a 4 minute drive away.

Other places to visit include…

Granada, Ronda, Mijas, Benahavis, Cadiz, Seville …..

Theme Park and Sealife Centre (in Benalmadena), Zoo in Fuengerola, Selwo Adventure Park, ‘Fast ferry to Tangiers and of course, Malaga: A fascinating city with a great cultural history!
