2 Bedroom Apartment, Large Sunny Terrace, Peaceful Location 2 Mins From Centre

Newly built in 2012, this charming two bedroom apartment is situated in an idyllic location only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Samoens yet adjacent to an open field looking up the mountainside. The express lift to the Grand Massif ski area is less than 1km away and the free ski bus is a 400m walk. The apartment block comprises 8 apartments and Chalet A03 is situated on the ground floor.

Decorated throughout in a modern alpine style, it is bright and airy in the summer and cosy in the winter months. The hallway leads to a double bedroom with built in wardrobes, a second bedroom with bunk beds and storage, a shower room with sink and separate toilet. The modern kitchen is well stocked and includes an oven, electric hob, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. A large oak table easily seats 6 people. The lounge area has a sofa bed which comfortably seats 3 people and can be used to sleep two people if required. Two comfortable chairs provide additional seating and it also has a TV with DVD player and Nintendo Wii games console. The lounge looks out through a large double glass door onto a large, west facing 22m2 terrace with a beautiful sunny outlook over a green field towards the village centre. The terrace is not overlooked and provides a very pleasant outdoor space for families to enjoy. There is an underground car parking space, a large cave to store ski and boarding equipment and additional external residents parking.

The apartment is very conveniently located with the main square of Samoens being just a 2 minute walk away (less than 300m). There are a large variety of speciality shops, a small supermarket, boulangerie, patisserie and greengrocer all within less than 5 minutes walk. A wide variety of restaurants and bars are also within easy walking distance, with the nearest just 300m away. The village centre also has a number of hire shops for ski and boarding equipment and bike hire in the summer.

We live in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, with our two teenage children. We are regular visitors to Samoens both to ski and enjoy the summer activities.

Having visited Samoens in summer 2008 we found it to be the perfect alpine location with plenty to offer in both summer and winter. We love the traditional atmosphere and buildings of the village and have found the local people extremely friendly. We were attracted to the property itself by its location near the village centre and larger than average lounge/dining area for a property of this size.

Although the property is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Samoens it is also in a picturesque and quiet setting making it the perfect location.The iconic le Criou mountain rises behind the property forming a stunning backdrop. The large 22m2 terrace to the front of the property has a lovely view across a field towards the village centre and is ideal for outdoor dining and lounging.

Lovely Apartment in a Pretty Location

This is a very well looked after apartment, clean and very nicely decorated. Perfect for a family of 4/5. We used all the rooms plus the sofa bed, which was comfortable. It looks exactly look the pictures. It is close to the town centre, but also feels slightly out of the way. So it's very quiet, which suited us. We had everything we needed. And as we couldn't ski 1 day, we used the dvd's and games which was great.
The skiing was fantastic! Suitable for beginners to more advanced. The ski buses are excellent and very easy to use. Lots of chair lifts as opposed to drag lifts, which I prefer.
The owners were brilliant! They answered all my inquiries promptly and gave me a lot of confidence in them and the property. I would have no hesitation to book with them again.
We also loved " Au Rendez vous de la Piaz". A small, authentic French Restaurant. The food was delicious and the owner was really friendly. On the piste, there is a restaurant on the dahu run, near the bottom, which also serves the best hot chocolate and the food was great.
We definitely would return again.

Beautiful Well Located Apartment

We had a wonderful New Year staying in this very comfortable apartment. The children (aged 6 & 8) loved the bunk beds!
The resort was understandably busy at this time of year so it was difficult to get the children up to their ski lesson start for 9:15 because of the gondola queues.We ended up using the Vercland lift and even drove up to Samoens 1600 on a couple of occasions. The children had lessons with Ecole 360 - which worked well and were significantly cheaper than zigzag ski school.
We really enjoyed the fireworks on New Years Eve in town - there was a great view from the apartment. It's wise to book restaurants during this peak week, we ended up making use of the well equipped kitchen on all but 2 nights. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at L'Aero in 1600 on New Years Day.
We had a wonderful New Year ski break and would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Brand new apartment fit for a family of 4 - fantastic outside space, great views and very close to the village square. The apartment itself is well kitted out and lovingly decorated. Very friendly and thorough communication from the owners Fiona and Andrew in the run up to and after our stay. We'd definitely come back.

Super apartment and splendid location

We loved the apartment being on the ground floor with such a lovely decked patio by the meadow. It felt very secluded but was a mere three minutes to the village square. Perfect for the boulangerie in the morning. The apartment is bright and very comfortably furnished and spacious for four adults.
Samoens is also a great location for walking. Either gentle walks by the river or more adventurous hikes in the mountains. The swimming pool is heated and there are lakes and lots of interesting things for families. At close by Morrillon there is swimming lake and a lovely woods adventure/climbing park which looked very exciting.
A great place to stay and a fabulous holiday destination.

Excellent Aprtment, Excellent location

The apartment was absolutely excellent. Clean and welcoming with everything we needed for an excellent couple of weeks skiing in the area.

The owners were extremely helpful in all aspects of booking and immediately answered any queries we had in relation to the booking, providing also excellent local knowledge of the area.

We took advantage of the fact that you are only a 25 min drive also from the Porte Du Soleil area as well which is an easy drive on good roads should the Grand Massif not be enough!

The village centre is really just 2 mins walk....fresh bread every morning from the bakery which opens at 7am....yet you feel like you are far from the maddening crowd in a very rural setting.

The meadow outside is a wonderful area for the kids to play and you can keep an eye through the full length windows looking out on to the private decked area.

Had a wonderful time and would certainly go back should opportunity arise.
