2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 15 minutes to the West End

Live like a Londoner. The flat has its own entrance as originally it was a corner shop.

The open plan living/dining/kitchen is at ground level with a decorative fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, if you wish. It has an oven, microwave, gas hob with extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. There are two stools for eating at a counter.

A few steps down to the two bedrooms and shower room (with toilet and basin) and en suite bathroom (Shower over tub, basin, toilet and bidet).

The master bedroom, with en suite, can be arranged as a King bed (6ft wide) or as two extra long twin beds. It opens onto a small patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a evening drink. Smoking is allowed on the patio.

The other bedroom has a Queen bed (5 1/2 ft wide bed).

The living room has two sofas, one of which has a small double sofa bed.

The dining room seats 6.

The entire flat is about 900 ft 2 (80 square meters).

This is a non-smoking, non-pet flat.

We provide some items for your arrival but you will probably have to get more, especially for stays of more than a few days. Items include shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper, paper towel, dishwasher tabs, dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee, oil & vinegar.

We have a crib and high chair for use at no charge, upon request. Due to the nature of the decoration, the flat is okay for 2-5 year olds only if they are well behaved. It'll save you from constantly running after them.

An American living in London for more than 17 years.

Joel Schweitzer purchased this apartment in 2000

The flat used to be a corner shop. It still has the stained glass windows with farm scenes. As I grew up on a dairy farm there was some resonance for me.

I was looking for a project and this house had to be completely redone. I have enjoyed doing it up, while learning the history of the area and the type of construction typical to London in the mid-19th century.

You'll like the location as it is central to the best parts of London. The area is quiet and residential but close to shops and restaurants.

We hope you, like other guests, will feel very comfortable in a flat that is like a home, much more than a rental flat or a hotel room.

Great Location/immaculate apartment/charming owner

We spent a week here with 3 kids ranging from 10 to 16. The apartment was adorable, very, very well decorated, just as you see in the photos, plenty of space for 5 people in 2 bedrooms, 2 good size bathrooms, and thankfully spacious beds - a European( 6 foot) king in the master and a 5,5 foot queen in the second bedroom, the sofa bed in the LR is a full, I believe, big enough for my 6 foot son. The apartment is well stocked with all the necessities, though the hairdryer is a standard hotel one, if you are used to a serious tornado maker, bring your own; we managed=) Otherwise, everything was just perfect, like staying in own pied-à-terre in London. The apartment is in the "basement" of the main house in the Victorian road on a very quiet street with a park in the back. SInce the house is the last one is the row, you'll have your own entrance on the side street, plenty of light and full side windows in every room, french doors in the master bedroom. The beds were very comfy and big, as I mentioned, unlike most of the other places that I looked at in London that offered only full size beds.
You are 5 min away from Paddington for subway and trains to many destinations, including Heathrow. You can take a train from there and walk to the place if your luggage is not too big. There is a walking pass in the back of Paddington that leads you straight to your house. If you take a taxi, do not pay in advance for the ride back, the owner, Joel, has a recommendation for a 40 pound ride to take you back to Heathrow. The owners are very helpful in recommendation how to get around and places to visit.
The walk to Hyde park is about 10 min either through Paddington or Edgware road. Notting hill with Portobello rd is 20 min walk away. So is Regents park. It is very central, but you'll be in your own quiet neighborhood with canals and charming streets all around. We loved it all, and if I have a chance to return to London, I would rent it again. Did I mention it is a great, great deal for such a lovely place in Central London?

Perfect location for a stay in london

We stayed for a week during the triathlon world championship. The location of the flat near Paddington was ideal. We were a very short walk to the tube and several restaurants. The flat was clean and well equipped. Joel was a great host.

We are a family of two parents and two children and the space fitted us greatly.The apartment was really comfortable and decorated very nicely - clean and bright. All kitchen gadgets, electrical appliances and wi-fi were working as expected. The location was great - close to Paddington station but still very quiet. In short - this is a really recommended apartment.
