Rockcliffe Cottage, South Queensferry, is an attractive self-contained property within the grounds of the owner's home. It is located in a residential area of South Queensferry - a quiet picturesque historic town, within the Edinburgh boundary. The town is home to many bars & restaurants, some of which have stunning views of the world-famous Forth Bridge. It is very conveniently located for visiting the many tourist attractions in Edinburgh. The local station is along our road, and you can be in Edinburgh city centre in 15-20 mins. From the South Queensferry waterfront you can take boat trips on the Forth, some of which visit Inchcolm Island. Sailing enthusiasts are well catered for at the local marina. Almost on our doorstep are the stately homes of Hopetoun House and Dalmeny House.

South Queensferry, being at the southern end of the Forth Road Bridge, forms the hub of easy access routes to all parts of Scotland. For those wishing to travel further afield, there are numerous interesting destinations accessible within a day's trip, such as the Kingdom of Fife and St. Andrews, beautiful Perthshire, the wonderful scenery of The Trossachs & Loch Lomond. Also within easy reach are the Scottish Borders, North Berwick & the beaches and golf courses of East Lothian, the city of Glasgow with its museums and shopping. For those interested in history, there's Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and Bannockburn, Lochleven Castle, Linlithgow Palace, and Falkland Palace - where do we stop?

Rockcliffe Cottage is a single storey, ground floor property, suitable for a maximum of 4 people. It has an entrance lobby, leading to an extremely spacious open-plan lounge (with 2 double sofas, Freeview TV & DVD) and dining area, with French doors to a patio area. It also has a fully-equipped kitchen (with hob & oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher & washer/drier), 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom, a bathroom (with shower-over-bath, WC & basin), and a shower room (with shower cubicle, WC & basin). In addition, it has its own secluded patio area with table & chairs, accessed from the lounge. There is free on-street parking. This a non-smoking property, and is not suitable for pets. This modern 4-star property is well designed and very well equipped. Every effort is made to provide guests with the highest standard of comfort and cleanliness possible.

Had a brilliant time in your wonderful cottage! Did lots of the things previously mentioned by others and also visited 'Jupiter Artland', which was fantastic. Our only disappointment is that we can't fit in another trip this year, we'll be back next year though!
