The house spans more than 1,800 square feet of living space plus nearly 500 square feet of lanais. With an old plantation style design, the houses interior is open and airy with all of today’s modern amenities. You’ll be captured by 14 ft high ceilings, a spacious living area that flows gracefully to the large kitchen and dining area, beautiful Merabu hardwood floors, natural stone and Italian tile flooring, and exotic trim finishes.

Incredible mountain views are available from the king sized bed in the master bedroom, which offers a sultry 2 basin bathroom and a luxurious oversized, spa-style, pebble stone shower. The second bedroom is beautifully furnished with a queen sized bed, and the third room has full and twin beds. Both rooms share an amber tiled main bath with granite counter and an extra deep shower/tub.
The main living space can also accommodate a good night’s rest with its queen sized bamboo sofa sleeper. Full laundry facilities are in house. Come relax, rejuvenate and enjoy on this magical island we call Kauai.
Needless to say everything was better than expected. The ohuse was better than in the pictures and 5 minutes from anything one would want.
The house had everything we needed and more. Kitchen was really well stocked with all of the necessities and some nice to haves (Kona coffee was there waiting for us to use). The snorkelling gear and beach toys (boogie boards and sand toys) were a big hit.
We loved the scenic views of the mountains in the back yard as well as the local roosters waking us up in the morning. The highlight of the trip was definately laying in bed watching the pink sun rise over the pacific in the distance.
Andy was great to deal with right from my first inquiry to helping us when the power went out and the wifi was out. In addition we were greeted by Steve (the neighbor) when we first arrived and he was more than willing to offer his local insights into the "must do's" of the island of Kauai.
Needless to say you cant go wrong with this centrally located home away from home.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful Anahola home. Andy was super easy to work with and the house was just what we expected. Four adults and one child fit perfectly in this house with an entire extra bedroom to spare. The inside was very clean and Steve, the groundskeeper, was there to help us out with anything we needed. Luckily we didn't have to bother him once. Anahola does not have a large grocery store within walking distance, so I strongly advise visitors to stop in Kapaa on your way from the airport. The kitchen has everything you need, and we cooked almost every morning while we were there. You will need a car if you stay at this house. The beach is about a three minute drive down the road. We can't wait to head back to Kauai soon. I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again after renting from Andy and VRBO. Thanks so much for a wonderful home. We look forward to renting it again sometime soon.
House was very nice and well stocked. Outdoor shower was cool! Lots of snorkel stuff, boogie boards etc. Only negative was lack of much breeze with beautiful windbreak all around property, and somewhat noisy road very close by.
We had a great vacation. The home was very welcoming and clean. We had 8 adults and 2 kids, the house was open and spacious. The kids loved the toys, bunk beds, sand toys, and "cool" rain showers.
We loved the house! The location and layout was great. It's off busy Kuhio Hwy, but when you arrive to the home between all the palm trees you no longer realize how close you are to the road, the surrounding of the home is very green! You can barely hear the cars on the highway when you're inside or out back in the large yard.
The place is very clean and well organized. Each room gave us a good feeling, very relaxing. Loved the bathrooms, the master shower was great after a long day at the beach. The kitchen pretty much had everything you needed to cook for 2 or 10. (The Whalers General Store down the road was nice to have close by when we need to pick up something random that we might have forgot at Walmart, Safeway, or Costco).
The home has a closet with lots of toys and movies if you have kids, and many towels to take to the beach. We were very happy to see the back have a huge container of snorkeling gear, mats to lay on at the beach, boogie boards, and tubes. We had days that we would stay at the house almost half the day sitting in the backyard looking out to the mountains watching paragliders and enjoying a nice breakfast or lunch.
We were there during a warm and humid week in a half. The home has no AC, there are fans everywhere to turn on, however was hoping for more wind to hit the home and blow air in but didn't. We pretty much had to leave every window open. The last day before heading to the airport it poured rain and it was so beautiful to watch around the house.
My husband wanted to stay in a home instead of a resort for our trip. We got married at Moloa'a Beach just up the road (about a 15 minute drive), our purpose for our trip. It was our favorite beach on that side of the island. Andy was great to communicate with and the home care taker was great too! We needed help two things and he was kind to come over and help us with it. Overall it was hard to say goodbye to this place.
It felt like home during our time there. Very peaceful and that's what we were looking for. If we return to Kauai for a long trip like this again we will be calling Andy!
My family and I have stayed at this house numerous times and each time has been so comfortable. The location is very central, it's a quick ride from the airport to settle in and not too far away to still have time to get to the beach before sunset. It is close to great places to eat and shop in Kapaa and not to far from the North Shores spectacular vistas. It has all the amenities of my own home but in an island paradise setting. Nice open layout that has sweet custom touches inside and out (i.e.,master bedroom shower and outdoor shower). The grounds of the home are very well kept and the warm yellow tone of the house reminds me of sunny hawaiian days. We were lucky enough to catch the papaya tree (that grows in the front yard) w/ a nice ripe papaya on it to eat! Quiet and private neighborhood just off the main road. The house gets great sea breezes from the front porch. The view of "Kong" from the back porch is postcard worthy. For my family, this house has been both a central place to entertain friends and family and our private family getaway; to rest after a long day of enjoying the island.
