The village centre is just a two minute walk away; here you will a handful of shops and pubs to enjoy. Seaview is aptly named as it has far reaching and ever changing views of the Solent - the strait separating the Isle of Wight from mainland England. Seaview is one of the most prestigious areas in the Isle of Wight and is particularly popular with the sailing community. Families also flock to the village to enjoy the beautiful beaches such as, Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay. Well worth a day out and only a few minutes' walk from Salterns Beach Bunglows is Seaview Wildlife Encounter, where you can meet rare animals and birds.

The popular town of Ryde is only three miles away. Ryde is the largest town on the island and boasts miles of golden sandy beaches and an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and attractions. If visiting towards the end of summer, be sure to catch the Carnival. The town holds the oldest Carnival in the UK, when floats from all over the island come together to create the biggest, brightest spectacle of the year.
On the journey back from Ryde towards Seaview be sure to stop at a place called Pluckpool Park. This was once a Victorian Fortification Battery used to guard the Solent; nowadays it’s the perfect place to enjoy the fantastic sea views. There is also a children’s play park, tennis courts, mini golf and beautiful gardens.
There is so much to do in the area, that after a busy day you will be pleased to come back to Salterns Beach Bungalows and relax in comfort. If you don’t feel like cooking, the Boat House Pub and Restaurant is only a short walk away, serving fresh local produce.
