Craigwood is an old Victorian, Gothic style house built in 1886 of sandstone which stands proud along the start of Old Edinburgh Road . Inside you will find 5 Double Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Games Room, Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Large Hall entrance vestibule. There is enough space whether you have a large family or just a few friends/couples together on a vacation.
There is a large grass covered garden which is an enclosed/safe area for your children to play. To the rear there is a patio which is ideal for barbecue's or simply relaxing with a glass of wine. There is ample off road parking to the side of the house.
There is so much opportunity to have a relaxing or fun filled holiday when you book a stay at Craigwood. Situated in the heart of Inverness you only have a 5 minutes walk to the City Centre, where there is enough facilities that anyone would require during a holiday.
Inverness (known as the Highland Capital) is the ideal spot for touring the Highlands along with the East and West Coasts as it is centrally located and every other City and Town is only a couple of hours or so by car, (Aberdeen-Shire 2 ½ hrs, Ullapool 1hr, Fort-William 1 ½ hrs) so you can still observe Scotland’s remote regions and get back to civilisation at the end of the day!
Inverness has plenty to offer from Golf Courses (Scottish Open held each year in July) to Beaches, Walks, Fishing, Skiing, Shopping, Restaurants, Whisky Distilleries (follow the whisky trails round the spey valley), History, Nature and much more….
If its golf you’re interested in, there are many fantastic courses all around the local area and Craigwood is centrally situated to experience them all.
Castle Stuart, where the Scottish Open is being held each year in July, is a magnificent course, which skirts around the southern Moray Coast line.
Inverness Golf Club is a beautiful parkland course, in the middle of Inverness, established in 1883. The course boasts lovely green fairways and is popular with the local residents. The course is a 5 minute drive away.
The Royal Dornoch, on the Black Isle, which is a 30-40 minute drive away.
During the winter season and stretching into spring you can go skiing in the Cairngorm mountain range which is 30mins drive from Craigwood.
There are blue nosed dolphins in the Moray Firth which are readily seen at Channonry Point, Rosemarkie. Birds like Pheasants and buzzards are commonly seen flying around in the Black Isle, which is fantastic place to experience the wild nature of the area. There are also many quaint little fishing villages, that the Black Isle offers; this is a 20minute drive away.
The area is steeped in History with numerous castles to be visited; like Dunrobin Castle, Urquhart Castle, along with Culloden Battlefield and of course the mysterious Loch Ness which is a 15minute drive away, you will not be short of things to do or places to visit!
