Newhill Farm Cottages are 2 warm and most comfortably furnished cottages, with thick stone walls and feature windows. The cottages are graded 4 star by Visit Scotland and provide a perfect get away for holidays or short breaks. It is a lovely quiet place for family and friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday and explore the local area.
The cottages have their own private secure gardens with patio seating area overlooking the adjacent farmland and woodland. There is wooden patio furniture for relaxing and your own BBQ for leisurely dining. Red Squirrels, Wild Roe Deer and Woodpeckers are frequent visitors. Take a scenic walk or cycle from your doorstep.
The 2 cottages have their own shared facilities of an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, large games room & gym. Have a relaxing day at home or visit many of the wonderful nearby attractions.
We take bookings for 7 night holidays arriving on a Friday or Monday, as well as short breaks Mon-Fri (3 nights) or Mon-Fri (4 nights)
These lovely cottages have been beautifully converted from farm steading and are located in tranquil countryside. There is plenty of local bird and wildlife to look out for, including red squirrels, woodpeckers, owls and wild deer. They are tastefully decorated and well equipped with many homely touches. The sitting rooms of both cottages have comfy leather sofas, oak flooring and an open log fire (already set for your arrival with a complimentary basket of logs). The kitchens/dining areas are very well equipped. There is a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a cot and high chair in each cottage for complimentary use if required.
Horse Mill Cottage has 1 Double Bedroom with King Size Bed and En suite Bathroom, 1 Double Bedroom and 1 Twin Bedroom. There is a separate upstairs bathroom and a downstairs WC.
The Old Cart House has 1 Double Bedroom with King Size Bed and En suite Bathroom and 1 Twin Bedroom. There is a separate upstairs bathroom and a downstairs WC.
You can walk or cycle from the doorstep and there are many varied trails in and around the local woodland. The gardens are mainly laid to grass, with a good sized patio seating area. There are wooden tables & chairs, sun parasols and charcoal BBQ in each private secured garden. Peaceful and scenic.
There is ample parking adjacent to the properties for 2 cars per property. 1 well behaved dog per cottage is most welcome, but should be notified at the time of booking (extra charge).
For the comfort and safety of guests these are no smoking properties.
Arrival Time is normally 4 pm onwards on day of arrival. Departure is by 10 am on departure day. A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking. Balance payable 10 weeks prior to the arrival date.
