Sea views from three bedrooms, free standing bath, garden with evening sun

Pepperpot Cottage is a unique property in Ramsgate and offers a great deal of room for guests in terms of bed spaces and bathrooms, and acts as a perfect base for visitors to the area. We see Pepperpot Cottage as a little gem in our group of properties which punches well above its weight.

It provides not only a central location for visitors to set out and explore from locating you within walking distance of all of Ramsgate’s eateries and attractions, but it also has views of the harbour, outside space for you to Barbeque in the summer, sumptuous luxury in terms of bathrooms and beds and sweet little terrace space to sit out and have your morning coffee or breakfast watching the world wake up.

On the entrance level is the living and dining areas and a kitchen to the rear with French doors opening out on to a small prettily furnished terrace garden equipped with a BBQ and outdoor lighting.The kitchen looks out over the garden while the sitting room has a view over the park.

On the top floor there is the stunning master suite with a wonderful bathroom with Victorian style free standing bath and a separate D shaped shower enclosure and his and hers sinks. The master bedroom leads onto the terrace from which you have spectacular views over the harbour, the sea and the park and where perhaps you can enjoy a quiet breakfast.In between there are two floors. On the first floor there is one king bedroom (twin or 6ft King) with a view of the sea and a shower room and separate bathroom with sash window. On the second floor there are two bedrooms which can be made up as either two twins or two doubles.

Pepper Pot Cottage has been completely refurbished from top to bottom so everything is brand new and of the highest quality. The linen for the house is 400 thread count Egyptian cotton, all beds are really high quality with Nimbus pillows and duvets (you have a choice of anti allergy and goose down within the house).The house is moments from the beach, the marina and the centre of the town.

On arrival you will be presented with a welcome pack which will give you everything you need to get started. A bathroom pack which includes White Company toiletries for each bathroom as well as a kitchen pack containing Fairy Liquid, Dettol surface cleaner, dishwasher powder, washing machine powder, a scour/sponge and j cloth. The pack also includes a ‘How to’ guide to the house, including appliances, heating etc. It lists emergency numbers for things you might need (hopefully not ….).

We live locally so if you need any advice or have any questions when you arrive we are always on hand.

A child’s car seat (check with us on the age of the child), high chair, travel cot, moses basket and baby bath are all available on request.

Access wise there is one bedroom and a walk in shower room on the first floor which makes it easy for those who don’t want to or cannot go up lots of stairs. There are approximately 12 steps to the first floor,(and 4 steps to the ground floor from the pavement level.

This property has the following outside: terrace outside top floor bedroom and garden with barbecue and garden dining table and chairs for 8 people.

It is important to us at My Seaside Luxury you have the best stay you possibly can. It is also important you are fully aware as to the location and size of our properties. We try to be as accurate as we can with our information and photos to ensure you are confident with your holiday let rental.

Pepperpot is centrally located and as such, is close to the town. Within the town of Ramsgate, much fun and enjoyment can be had down at the harbour and at its close bars, pubs and restaurants, much like any other seaside town.

Being close to the town is both a blessing and in some instances, less ideal for some visitors. Noise is a subjective issue and from time to time there will be people whom are walking home from the bars and restaurants and taking a route past Pepperpot Cottage. In the main these people swiftly move on. Combined with these people walking home, you should be aware that Pepperpot is a building in a conservation area which means little can be done with the glazing. Therefore, we do not have double glazing, but instead we have curved, original, single-glazed sash windows. In the summer-time, you will more than likely have these windows slightly open, and therefore, in the instances where we do have a noisy passer by, you may hear them.

The property is a narrow property and 100 years or so ago, would probably have acted as the servants' quarters to the large house next door. We feel this is characterful and delightful. The property whilst narrow is quite long and deep. It has the added benefit of a little courtyard to the rear which is a lovely little sun trap.

What can be an issue with a long, narrow property, is the furniture arrangement. Whilst the property can accommodate up to 8 people, we would recommend this is predominantly and preferably for two families, with smaller children. Comfortably you can seat 4-6 people in the living room, on both two seater sofas as well as some other chairs in this area. However, 8 adults will not be able to sit comfortably on the sofas in the living area. With 8 adults you will likely convene in the back garden, around the dinner table, in the living room and kitchen, but not all at the same time in the living room because the furniture will not accommodate it.

We hope the photos tell this story. We have installed a TV in each bedroom as well as downstairs in the living room to cater for situations where younger ones may hang out in their own rooms watching TV rather than trying to have everyone downstairs in the living room.

We would be happy to supply floor plans of Pepperpot Cottage if you feel this would aid with making a decision on space etc. The property is surprisingly spacious even though narrow and long, and with its location in south facing Ramsgate, sitting out in the back garden and having a BBQ can be a real joy with the last of the evening sun. We are more than happy to answer any question you have about the property.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location!

I stayed with my family (8 in total) in early June for 7 nights. The cottage was exactly as described - we even found extras like a coffee machine! The location was superb and thanks to the very informative welcome pack we found our way around the area very easily. Parking wasn't a problem - we used the pay and display a few metres from the cottage. The cottage has been beautifully decorated - just like you'd do it for yourself with lots of little details like heated towel rails! The bedrooms were beautiful with plenty of ingenious under-bed storage and creative wall hanging. The bathrooms were fantastic - great showers and always plenty of hot water!! An outside chair was broken when we arrived and the owner just turned up to fix it - we didn't even need to call him. I think the cleaning team had spotted it - just an example of the level of care the owners took to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
We had a couple of day trips to London and Canterbury and explored the beach area - we found the Great Wall of Ramsgate really interesting! Because the kitchen was so well-equipped we mostly ate in, eating in the garden on nice days. Even with 8 of us we had plenty of room, and with TVs in every bedroom the kids could go upstairs.
We had a couple of cold days (13°C) and needed the heating, which was very efficient and the cottage was cosy very quickly. The doors and windows (sash, traditional) could be a little draughty, but the heating worked well. We found the bedrooms got very light very early so needed eye-masks, but otherwise we slept very well - the beds were unbelievably comfortable! I would absolutely recommend it - luxurious and a real home from home. Some other family members visited for the Jubilee and the children promtly wanted to move in!!

On the first floor there is a good sized bathroom with rain shower in the bath. The third is a shower room, compact in size but great for big parties when three showers are required.
