Tere are many restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes along the banks of the river Gilão or in the many lanes and squares throughout the town as well as in the Plaza. There is something for all ages here in Tavira.

BEACHES- The Ilhe of Tavira has 12Km of golden sands reached by regular ferries.The nearby StªLuzia Barril beach as well as the beaches at Manta Rota, Altura and Monte Gordoa total of 40Km to choose from.

GOLF- There are 7 courses nearby, Benamor,Quinta de Cima, Colina Verde, Quinta da Ria, Quinta do Vale and Castro Marim as well as 6 further couses along the coast in the Vilamoura area (30 mins away)and 7 in the Almancil area (30 mins). The Vila is only 20 mins from the Spanish border where you will find Isla Canela, Costa Esuri among others.
