I grew up in Suffolk, England but I now live and work nearby to Cannes in Antibes Old Town, so have good local knowledge. I moved here with my family 4 years ago, from Mallorca, Spain, where we lived for 18 years. I also owned and managed successful rental properties there.

When I decided to buy a property in Cannes, I was advised to get one as close as possible to the Palais de Festivals and also to the beaches. Whether coming on holiday, or for one of the many congresses, or for the film festival, you will find the location is perfect.
Cannes is of course best known for the annual International Film Festival which attracts many of the world's best-known movie stars, movie directors and film producers to the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals on the Croisette de Cannes each May. There are, however, many more International events, congresses and trade fairs held here throughout the year. Cannes is also well known for its beautiful, unspoilt and clean beaches. The shopping areas are glamorous; the restaurants are numerous and of an exceptionally high standard. Nice International airport is close by, offering convenient daily flights to New York, Dubai, London and many other destinations around the world. Le Suquet is the old town of Cannes. Its narrow winding streets are full of charm. The area is very close to the centre - just a few minutes walk from the Palais des Festivals et des Congresses and it is also perfectly located for access to the public and private beaches, shopping areas and it boasts a vast choice of dining options from the most elegant and exclusive restaurants to simple pizza restaurants and sandwich bars. The Marché Forville is a daily covered market offering a vast array of the very freshest local produce - fruit, vegetables, fish, flowers, spices, cheeses, fresh pasta and olive oil are beautifully displayed. This market is just a few steps from the apartment.
