Guestbook comments from the manager

Great house in a great environment. Fantastic beach! It is also ideal as a starting point to look around attractions in Kent / Sussex. London is easily accessible by train (via Ashford). The proximity to the Euro tunnel (just under 1h) is also beneficial. The booking from Germany without any problems and very well organized. Would book it again immediately!

Perfect Holiday Cottage

  • 5 out of 5
Me and my husband stayed at Sandy paws for the weekend with our dog Benjy, the cottage was immaculate and had everything we could possibly want - absolutely perfect for our weekend at the seaside with our dog! The weather was great so we spent plenty of time on the beach - which Benjy loved! We will definitely come and stay again and will be recommending Sandy Paws to all our friends! Thank you!

White Sand, is a stylish development of two and three-bedroom cottages in the picturesque area of Camber Sands. Nestled between one of Britain’s finest sandy beaches and internationally significant grassland, this superb development is ideally situated – just a stone’s throw away from the beach, yet close to the picturesque, historic medieval town of Rye.

White Sand is designed as a traditional Fisherman’s village, these holiday cottages display an attractive mix of brick and blue and white weatherboarding with decking and shingle fronting the traditionally constructed seaside holiday homes. The contemporary interiors of the spacious rooms coupled with the light and airy atmosphere makes an inspiring, relaxing living space.

Perfectly located

White Sand is perfectly located on the East Sussex/Kent border allowing you to explore two of England’s loveliest and most historic counties, East Sussex’s 1066 Country and Kent’s Garden of England. Being only one and a half hours from London you can also make the most of what the capital has to offer, take in a show in the West End, shop in Oxford Street or visit the many iconic sites.

Tranquillity and pure escapism

A holiday at White Sand, will enable you to discover the classic rural landscapes, traditional seaside towns and ancient history all on your doorstep. There are several hundred miles of coastline comprising of stunning cliffs and chalk stacks, secluded sandy bays and broad stretches of pure sand, as well as heritage sites, sites of international importance for wildlife, popular holiday towns, international ports and tiny harbours. The countryside – the North Downs, the Weald and Romney Marsh – is breathtakingly beautiful. Spectacular undulating chalk hills roll down to dramatic white cliffs, punctuated by quaint villages and wooded valleys, offering tranquillity and pure escapism.

Discover one of the most historic parts of our country

You will also learn about our ancient culture and heritage too. Stand where English history began and where Christianity entered the country at Canterbury, see where the Roman rule started and ended, and where the most famous battle on English soil took place. Go underground at Dover Castle and find out how it has defended this island over the centuries. Trace the history of England’s royalty and aristocracy through the historic castles and houses that surround White Sand, such as Bodiam Castle, Herstmonceux, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle and Walmer Castle. Take a trip to Margate and explore the stunning new Turner Contemporary gallery on the seafront, and wander through the old cobbled streets of Rye, bustling with artist’s studios, shops and galleries.

Delight your taste buds.

Good food makes a great holiday, so come and taste the fine produce that comes from this area. From Romney Marsh lamb to Dover Sole and Whitstable oysters to Rye Bay scallops, from the juicy fruits of the orchards and vegetables from local farms, to fine award winning English wine and delicious ale made from Kentish hops – your taste buds will be delighted.
