Our property is situated in a panoramic position on the lagoon and is convenient to all services towards the center of Venice to the islands of the estuary as Torcello and Burano. The newly built house has an apartment with a spacious and elegant living room-kitchen, a double bedroom a twin room and a bathroom. In the living room is a comfortable sofa bed for two children a 32-inch satellite TV and a kitchen complete with oven, refrigerator and freezer. The apartment is air conditioned and the living room leads to the large garden in front of the lagoon where you can have breakfast or dine quietly, there is also a barbecue with the agreement that you can use. The room has a wardrobe and a dresser with 6 doors, the bathroom has a shower, bidet and hair dryer. The apartment is 5 minutes walk to all points of interest such as: supermarkets, Coop and Despar, boarding for each destination, the glass museum, the Basilica St.Donato of the 7th century, church of St.Pietro with great paintings.
I, my husband and nine year old daughter recently stayed in this property for one week. The description given on this website was very accurate and the property was very clean. Giampaolo and his wife were exceptional hosts who looked after us very well - we arrived on a Sunday after the local supermarket had closed so Giampaolo went to Venice to get us some food for breakfast. The location of the property is excellent with the vaporetto just taking 10-15 mins to get to Venice. Also the views from the garden are exceptional. We cannot fault this property and hope to return soon. Many thanks.
Had a 3 night break recently at the Garden Apartment. Giampaolo was a wonderful host and could not do enough for us. He even leant us his shopping trolley. It was nice to come back to a peaceful setting after a hectic time in Venice, which is only a 20 minute ferry journey. I would strongly recommend staying here.
We were so happy staying in Giampaolo's lovely apartment that we really hated to leave.
The place is spotless, perfectly appointed, had comfortable beds, and just outside the gate is the canal, with boats gently bobbing up and down. Walk along the Fondamente for just a few minutes and find shops, restaurants, wonderful gelato, the Co-op where one can buy everything for a fabulous home cooked meal. We loved, loved, loved it! The vaporetto is extremely convenient, just minutes and you are in Venice, but the pushing crowds stay there, and here in Murano.... ah, peace and quiet!
I particularly enjoyed the evening passagiata with the locals, and sitting with a scoop of limone gelato while sunset streaked the sky.
We can't wait for our next vacation, and thank you, Giampaolo, for being the perfect host!

I want to live here!!! This rental was perfect! It was new, sparkling clean, filled with wonderful art (the owner's!), & Murano glass light fixtures AND it is directly on the Grand Canal. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and the beautiful views. Our host, Giampaolo and his lovely wife, Lori, were gracious, friendly and helpful, providing us with a fornace tour and a delicious dessert too. I wish we had stayed here (soooo away from the crowds of Venice) several more days. We island-hopped to our heart's content with our 3-day vaporetto pass and enjoyed the restaurants and convenient shopping on Murano. For an extra treat, visit the wine shop behind the supermarket where you select wine for your own container or their recycled water bottles. E3.40 for a litre and a half AND some of the best wine we enjoyed in Italy. I just hope this gem of a retreat is not too fully booked the next time we want to visit!!
My wife and I, were traveling with our kids (3,10,16), and we were looking for something calm, and clean.
When we get there, we had royal reception, with help for everything we needed it, Giampaolo and his wife were there every time we needed them, the apartment was very clean, well equipped, and with Giampaolo's artistic touch turned it to a museum like apartment , close to everything (vaporito) around the hour even during night time,
the kids enjoyed their stay there, and...
Two of us were in Murano for a glass course and we couldn't have found a nicer place to stay. A lovely cool, comfortable apartment (great air conditioning but also screens so you can have the bedroom windows open at night). Great kitchen/living room, very well equipped, and charming hosts in Giampaolo (an artist and glass maestro, whose work fills the walls) and his wife.
The position is idyllic - quiet and overlooking the lagoon, but close to the Venier vaporetto stop so its very easy to get in to Venice. There is a lovely garden with table and comfortable chairs where you can enjoy warm evenings - but you do need anti-mosquito spray. Luckily the Coop (walking distance) has everything you will need.
We loved our time here, especially as after a long day in the glass school we just needed to rest, relax and unwind. We will be back.
Murano is an island of calm a stone's throw from Venice, the locals are friendly and helpful people. We see from the Glass Museum, the Basilica of St. Donato and the Church of St. Peter Martyr with paintings by Tintoretto, Veronese, and a magnificent Giovanni Bellini, then of course there are the factories of glass and glass sculptures in the streets, to see 'Hosanna' by Giampaolo Ghisetti owner of our facility. Murano is located in a strategic position because it is convenient to get to Venice and to visit the islands of the lagoon like Burano and Torcello. Our property is 5 minutes walk from supermarkets such as Coop or Despar, and 3 minutes from the embarkation for all directions.
