LUXURIOUS BARN CONVERSION IN SECLUDED RURAL HIDEAWAY

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday barn in York - The Old Coach House

Self catering sleeping 4 in large well equipped newly converted property

The property has two large en-suite bedrooms, one double with Victorian bedstead and the other with twin beds. There is a delightful upstairs lounge with TV between the bedrooms - ideal for watching the wildlife in the garden. Downstairs is a larger lounge with TV and French windows opening on to the garden, a large well equipped kitchen diner with breakfast bar and French windows opening on to a graveled courtyard. There is a downstairs toilet. Centrally heated with all bedding and towels provided. Outside is a large wooded garden, a decking area with gazebo and graveled courtyard. The property is set in a very peaceful location at the end of the village with open fields beyond. The site is historically important and the place where Robert Aske lived. He led the Pilgrimage of Grace against Henry VIII at the time that Henry was trying to dissolve the Monesteries in 1536 and for his role as leader of the Pilgrimage, he was tried for treason and hung, drawn & quartered in York.

Regrettably, No Pets are permitted at the property which is also a no smoking house.

The Old Coach House is located in a peaceful rural backwater with open countryside beyond and yet only 13 miles from historic York. It is perfect for anyone wanting to totally relax from the stresses and strains of everyday life. The surrounding area is very flat and ideal for walkers and cyclists but the YORKSHIRE WOLDS are very near by providing excellent challenging walks and mountain biking. The location of DAVID HOCKNEY's now very famous paintings of the BIGGER TREES AT WARTER and WOLDGATE near Bridlington. are a short drive away and a must for anyone who admires his work. Ideal location for birdwatchers with open countryside beyond the village. YORK is only 25 minutes drive away with its year round attractions (too many to mention) and amazing history. There is an excellent Golf Club and Leisure Centre just over a mile from the property and the beautiful town of BEVERLEY is about 25 minutes drive away. BRIDLINGTON, FILEY AND SCARBOROUGH are about an hours drive away and the North Yorkshire Moors are about the same distance.

Regrettably I do not allow pets into the property but if your dog is happy to sleep in your car, then there would be no problem with you bringing it.
