Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday barn in York - The Old Coach House
Self catering sleeping 4 in large well equipped newly converted property
The property has two large en-suite bedrooms, one double with Victorian bedstead and the other with twin beds. There is a delightful upstairs lounge with TV between the bedrooms - ideal for watching the wildlife in the garden. Downstairs is a larger lounge with TV and French windows opening on to the garden, a large well equipped kitchen diner with breakfast bar and French windows opening on to a graveled courtyard. There is a downstairs toilet. Centrally heated with all bedding and towels provided. Outside is a large wooded garden, a decking area with gazebo and graveled courtyard. The property is set in a very peaceful location at the end of the village with open fields beyond. The site is historically important and the place where Robert Aske lived. He led the Pilgrimage of Grace against Henry VIII at the time that Henry was trying to dissolve the Monesteries in 1536 and for his role as leader of the Pilgrimage, he was tried for treason and hung, drawn & quartered in York.
