Fantastic London house in Queens Park, North West London. Our house was built in 1900 and architecturally refurbished in 2007, the result

combines a modern clean design with the best of the traditional features retained. Large and light with 4 double bedrooms, a custom-built kitchen, family/breakfast room with foldaway doors leading to a 100 ft garden, it is the perfect home for a family looking to visit all that London and England has to offer.

Our house is on a lovely, quiet tree lined street. It is on three levels and includes kitchen / breakfast / family room, living/tv room with foldaway doors to balcony, vaulted master bedroom with en suite and own balcony, loft room with wet room, 3 other large double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4 WCs in total and utility room

We have a 100ft South West facing garden, with patio, seating, BBQ, a lawn leading to a secluded 25sqm deck which is excellent for exercise or quiet cup of coffee.

Wonderful stay in West London

This really is a lovely house! The interiors are stunning and the master/ensuite bedroom in particular is one of the coolest we have ever stayed in!

The kitchen is beautiful and has all the appliances you could ever need to cook a nice dinner, while the attached dining area can easily accommodate 10 people. Great if you are organising a family get-together.

All the bedrooms are spacious and nicely and neutrally decorated. The living room/TV room is nice and cosy and the huge selection of DVDs is a nice bonus for those days when it's too wet to stay out and you are tired after a long day. We ended up spending more time in the kitchen/dining room rather than the living room. This has huge glass doors into the garden and half of its roof is made of glass, so it is very bright and pleasant.

Another bonus is the study/office area. I had to do a bit of work while I stayed in the house, so having this secluded space was god-sent!

We stayed during a very cold and wet week and never felt cold - we even had to switch off the radiators at times as the house was a bit too warm!

The area is great, as you get easy access to the centre through the nearby overground station (20-22 minutes with one change) or, if you prefer, buses. The house is around 2 miles away from Notting Hill and also about 2 miles away from Little Venice, both lovely spots to spend a sunny afternoon walking around. The overground station also means that getting to Richmond or Kew Gardens is also hassle-free. Finally, although the house is in the west, getting to the east-end bars and clubs is easy enough, as the overground will take you to Dalston in 30 minutes and Shoreditch in 40 minutes.

Last but not least, Nathan and Juliette are wonderful, exceptionally well organised and supportive. They replied to all emails promptly with good information and guidance. They left a detailed guide to using the house, useful post-it notes at all the appliances/fittings that needed them and a detailed guide to the surrounding area. Finally, they returned the deposit promptly, a week earlier than they had to.

We are in a quiet, safe and fashionable area of North West London, near Queen's Park. We live on a particularly quiet, tree-lined, family street with very nice neighbors.

It's a great area for children; Queen's Park has a playground with a huge sandpit and adjacent paddling pool, a miniature farm, tennis courts, mini-golf and a popular, refurbished café. There’s also a program of lively kids’ entertainment at the bandstand in the summer.

There are late night shops, fashionable boutiques, delis, cafes, restaurants and gastro pubs in the neighborhood. Local Thai, Indian, Italian and Japanese restaurants home deliver in the evenings. We have a large supermarket 5 minutes away, and several supermarkets will deliver if you order online. London's biggest and rather impressive shopping centre, Westfield, is 10 minutes by car or train.

Our closest tube station is Queen's Park (Bakerloo line) - a 10 minute walk through the park - taking you across London. Just round the corner you can take the bus to Oxford Street (20 mins) or to Notting Hill / Portobello Road (10 mins) and Kensington (20mins). The overground train station is a two minute walk, taking you to Hampstead Heath in 10 minutes in one direction or to Kew Gardens in the other.

Museums, including the British Museum and the Natural History and Science Museums, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, London Zoo, numerous theatres and restaurants are easily accessible by tube and bus. Good road links will take you further afield if you want to explore more of England.

We are 40 minutes from Heathrow or Luton airports, 15 minutes to Paddington, 25 minutes to the Eurostar terminal at Kings Cross.
