Your destination is Ayer, some 2 hours to the East of Geneva beyond Verbier but before Zermatt.
Ayer is a totally unspoilt village in the picturesque valley of the Val d’Anniviers, in the Swiss canton of Valais. Close to Grimentz, St Luc and Zinal, you have a vast choice as far as skiing and hiking are concerned.
The road ends at the chalet, so there is almost no traffic.
Apart from the weather (300 days of sun annually), the skiing, the spectacular landscape, the local culture, the flora and the fauna makes Valais and Ayer, in particular, an exceptional holiday destination both in summer and winter.
Its marvelous location in the middle of the four thousand-metre peaks of the Swiss mountains and its numerous trekking tracks make Ayer a paradise for hikers, with pretty views of the Weisshorn, Matterhorn, etc.
Summer activities include lots of hiking from the chalets, cycling, paragliding, bungee jumping, canyoning, tennis, aerial adventure, mountaineering and much else.
