If you have ever dream about a villa holiday in blissful seclusion where you can lose all sense of time, then this unique property will prove ideal, enjoying one of the most enviable positions you are ever likely to find in Crete. Perched on a hilltop and on the edge of the sea, the views are stupendous and its immaculate interior match its magnificent location.

The villa has two floors, each with its own private entrance into a three bedroom apartment.For all intents and purposes the two units are entirely separate and private and in our view it is also ideally suited to a larger group who may wish to rent the whole property exclusively.

The swimming pool is situated in the rocks to one side and is accessed by a common path from the house.Whether you are lounging on the terraces around the pool or relaxing on the spacious private balconies, the views are fabulous and the silence broken only by the waves against the rocky shoreline below.

The standard of the interiors is high.

Stavros is located right on the tip of the peninsula of Akrotiri in a beautiful bay at a distance of 14 km from Chania. It came to light thanks to the famous scenes of the film 'Zorbas the Greek'.

Stavros is well-known for its beautiful sandy beaches and the clean, blue sea. It is actually a small bay and a long sandy beach next to it.

The area of Stavros consists of a scattering of holiday accommodation and some private villas, but generally it remains beautifully quiet. A couple of tavernas are close by and a few more as you head out to Stavros in one direction or Kalathas in the opposite direction.

The beach at Kalathas is sandy and some water sports are also available. One or two small grocery shops are in the area but there are many more shops and restaurants in and around the seaside villages in the peninsular. A car opens up further options to explore this fascinating area of Crete.

A wonderful place to stay

We've booked villa Penelope for one week at the end of May. The villa is very nice, the views from the lounge around the pool are stunning. All you can see is the ocean all around you and it really is absolutely amazing views.

The owners were exceedingly helpful in both arranging the holiday with us and when we arrived there. We also use them to hire a car which was delivered to us to the airport and I have to say was the easiest car rental procedure I've ever gone through my life, no queues simply great.

I really word, and have been recommending this villa to all my friends and family I would definitely go back again.

Fantastic location in Crete

Stayed at Villa Penelope for 2 weeks in July 2012. The villa itself is quite basic, but comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The villa is divided into 2 appartments on separate floors. As 2 families, this was a perfect solution for us. The location is amazing, perched on the rocks overlooking the sea. It has a good sized pool. The view from the pool, terraces and gardens is fantastic. The owner, Penelope was always available, very friendly,helpful and gave good advice about local restaurants etc. I would highly recommend this villa.

We have been going to this area of akrotiri for a few years and always rent the same place. This time we decided to change and rented the whole house.
The villa is very comfortable and there is all you need.
Also the outside space with the pool and the bbq is excellent. The service was top. Faults: kitchen equipment is a bit old and should be updated with also more staff, a nice couch outside would benefit very much,

Amazing!

We had a great stay at Villa Penelope! There was plenty of space and the view was phenomenal. We also had a lot of fun in the pool. I would go back in a heart beat if I could! Penelope was also very kind and helpful throughout the week, bringing us tasty oranges to eat and showing us where the markets were. My favourite part of our stay was the short distance that the Villa was to many small beaches and markets. Even without renting a car we were able to experience what we wanted to by renting bikes.
