Meribel is magnificently situated in the centre of the massive Three Valleys ski area, and as a result of its location, enormous amount of skiing possibilities and collection of fantastic, luxury chalets, Meribel constantly competes with Val d’Isere to become the most popular ski resort in Europe. Meribel ski chalets are in good use year round, as the summer average temperatures, which hover around 16°C in July and August, perfect for flying, mountaineering and hiking. Winters are of course cold, with average temperatures of roughly -1°C in January.
A ski chalet in Meribel is relatively painless to reach. Chambery Airport (CMF) is under 3 hours by road from Meribel, and Geneva (GVA), Lyon (LYN) and Grenoble (GNB) are around three and a half hours by coach. Each of the airports mentioned provide regular coach transfers from the airport direct to your apartment or chalet in Meribel.
