The charming town of Leuk is situated on the southern slopes of the Rhone Valley and has numerous historic buildings to explore which were once part of the diocese of Sitten. There is also an 18-hole golf course here.
This wonderful meadow landscape has the biggest pine forest in Switzerland and runs along the border between the German and French speaking Valais. It is a delightful area for hill walking in the fresh mountain air.

The nearest airport to Leukerbad is the Geneva (GVA) Airport, 199km away. There are frequent trains from Geneva on the Lausanne-Italy and Lausanne-Gotthard routes which stop at nearby Leuk-Susten.
