The historic Captain James Winn House dates back to the late 18th century and is also well worth a visit.

The annual average precipitation in this area is 45 inches. This is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year with the peaks in November and December at approximately 4.7 inches per month. July is the driest month with an average of 3.1 inches of rainfall.
Portland International Jetport is approximately 50 minute’s drive from Ogunquit. Passengers can fly here from other U.S cities including Atlanta, Chicago-O’Hare, New York (JFK) and Washington-Dulles as well as Toronto-Pearson in Canada. Visitors from countries outside the U.S can fly to New York and catch a connecting flight to Portland. Flights arrive at New York from airports such as Beijing-Capital (PEK), Frankfurt (FRA), London-Heathrow (LHW), Madrid (MAD), Milan-Malpensa (MXP), Moscow-Sheremetyevo (SVO), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Tokyo-Narita (NRT) amongst others. Alamo, Avis/Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National are car rental firms located just outside the terminal building at Portland’s airport.
