Hood River is located just off Interstate 84, exits 61-64. (I-84 runs the length of the Gorge and provides easy driving access to points both east and west). Adams Wilderness Area, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and the scenic area around Troutlake, WA. To get to Hood River from SR 14, one takes the Hood River toll bridge ($1 each direction) at milepost 65 just before Bingen, WA. Hood River Airport is available for private and charter flights. There is also an airfield in The Dalles and one in Troutdale. Portland International Airport is the nearest major airport with scheduled passenger service.
