The warmest month of the year is July with an average high temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit, while the coldest month of the year is January with an average high temperature of 35 degrees Fahrenheit. The annual average precipitation in this area is only about 25 inches. This is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year with the peak in March at an average of 2.5 inches. July is the driest month with an average of 1.2 inches of rainfall. The higher ground sees substantial snowfall in the winter months.
Denver International Airport (DEN) is just under two hour’s drive from Copper Mountain and has flights from other U.S cities as well as international airports. These include Chicago-O’Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Frankfurt (FRA), London-Heathrow (LHW), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK) and Toronto-Pearson (YYZ) amongst others. Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, E-Z, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty are car rental firms located at Denver Airport. Although these car rentals are away from the main terminal building, each company provides a shuttle service to their respective locations at the airport.
