This locale experiences cool weather for most of the year and even in summer temperatures don’t go much higher than 20°C. The year begins with temperatures averaging between freezing and 8°C but they rise as spring displaces winter, just hitting 18°C in the month of May. Summer is marked by temperature averages entering the twenties and in August the temperatures level off at 22°C. From September the weather steadily becomes chillier and by the time winter takes over from autumn, temperatures are hurtling downwards to the 10°C mark. May, July and October are Ramsgate’s wettest months with rainfall averages of just about 75mm.
Ramsgate is served by the Manston Airport which lies just four miles away. Despite being also referred to as Kent International Airport, this facility mostly handles only seasonal charters from other locations in the UK. Until recently FlyBe offered flights to and from Manston.
