Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera mountains it is known for its narrow streets of whitewashed houses and stepped terraces. Just along the coast, Garrucha is famous for its fishing and prawns and is a great place to enjoy a meal at one of the fish restaurants. Further afield the ancient city of Granada is a two hour drive from your Alfaix holiday rental. The impressive Alhambra is a fascinating Moorish fort with thick walls and beautiful water gardens on top of a natural cliff.

The nearest airport to holiday rentals in Alfaix is Almeria (LEI) airport about 10 km east of Almeria city centre. It has a high volume of tourists arriving daily from the UK and northern Europe as well as national flights from Madrid and Barcelona. easyJet, BMI Baby, Monarch and Ryanair fly into Almeria airport daily and offer cheap flights from the UK while Iberia Airlines are the domestic airline carrier. A hire car is essential to reach Alfaix, which is 80 km northeast.
