Just a short walk from the main bulk of the self-catering accommodation in Alboraya is a 4km stretch of coastline, which runs from Port Saplaya to Patacona. This area offers sunbathing, snorkelling and a variety of other water sports and makes for a pleasant walk, usually amidst refreshing sea breezes.
Those who like to explore will discover many sites of interest around Alboraya, including the Chapel Saplaya and the interestingly-named Chapel of the Miracle of the Tree-Fish. The Miracle of the Tree-Fish is also the centre of an ancient fiesta held in Alboraya, which dates all the way back to 1348, and is held every Whit Monday inside the chapel.
